Up and down course with a lot of blind shots and water hazards, especially on the back 9 which, to me, looks better than the front 9.
Quite a few nice holes (6, 9 - tough par 3, 13, 14 and 17) but the water looks flat, no matter what settings I used. As for the trees, they have much less foliage than the 2007 version !
Plays nicely though but I will keep the 2007 version...

More than a year has passed since this course last had a comment - this will be my first of a few golden oldie revivals! I've been trawling thru the courses alphabetically to track down ones I used to play in early golf programs. Riddick51PB mentioned Links386Pro, but I first played this course using PGA Tour Golf back in the early 90s (pardon me - your age is showing!). I registered to this fantastic website yesterday and immediately, I installed a new course :)
So, that course was my first try and I'm not disappointed by it.
It's a very good course, I like the way it goes up and down with trees right in the middle of fairways. Perhaps a bit lifeless sometimes, we have the feeling to be alone in the middle of nowhere.
But, it's a truly fantastic course mate! Thank you.

Very nice. It was great to have trees in the shot line. Took me back to my best memories of Links386 Pro. Nearly had to wipe a tear from my eyes.

Forgot one thing - personally I wouldnt have had the dolphin-sounding bird wherever they are!!!! (hole 5 I think for one....)

Beauty. This one stays on!!
Plays smoothly - hole load times are nominal - looks great - nice piece of work.
As with the only other 08 course Ive downloaded so far, theres no commentary, (blessing!) and no galleries - is this normal for course downloads to 08?

Sam, lowered the shader level from very high to medium. That did the trick. Water looks great. A fantastic first download for 08. Thanks!

A beautiful version of this course that is a must-download for 08. Sam, do you have any plans to release a fall version of this course as well? Avenel looks great with the fall colors.

MachLz1....turn your shader level down...the water will work on medium on my machine...flat on high.

Just played the front 9, no problems except with the water. Its totally flat, no ripples or movement. Reminds me of the water in Links 2003. Other than that, everything else worked great.
