This course is beautiffuly rendered by TeeOff Towersey with nicely rounded greens. Carefully placed trees. It looks and plays like the real course. Its not that hilly, its not that narrow, its not strewn with massive trees like Augusta, it aint even long. BUT, what it does have is water, lots of it. This is what gives this course its character. Coupled with well placed bunkers and excellently designed fairways with small kinks not massive dog legs. Cleverly placed bunkers and sparce use of trees require a shorter tee shot at times.
Signature holes, 2 of them really, the 10th were you can choose to lay up for a long iron, lay up for a short iron but risk bunkers and trees, OR drive this rip this short par four and go for the eagle. The 18th tee is daunting as many a Ryder Cup player has discovered. Here another choice of three lay up for a medium iron OR try to set yourelf up for an easy birdie by either overshooting the trees or playing a draw round them. Either way get it wrong and its splash. Succeed and well an easy short iron for the birdie.
The greens are well lets say spot on perfect no jagged corners no over steep unrealistic hills.
AS a course I would mark it 9/10. Furthermore I would like to give the Course desginer a perfect 11/10 for pain stakingly reproducing this famous Ryder Cup Venue.
