Mmm, I'd forgotten about this course. Maybe I'll do a 2008 Hobbit course next.

I downloaded this course because I too am a Tolkien fan, I guess for Hobbits this course is long enough, but I drove most greens. It is a good one for a change and you have done a great job with it. Thanks for the effort.

Oh, how I would have loved a densely foreted Mirkwood! Unfortunately the CA doesnt allow for more than you find here. If I put in any more trees, the game crashes. This course is of course only for the most powerful hobbits, few of which have a low handicap anyway. They mainly play for fun and enjoy looking for their balls in the rough and the bushes about as much as hitting them around, because they might find something to eat there, like berries or mushrooms.

OK- I played this course attracted to it simply b/c Im a Tolkien fan. FIRSTLY, the course is SHORT suitable to hobbits almost every green can be driven. HOWEVER, I played on fast, calm, and advanced, and found that the trouble I got in when the green was missed made me sweat out far too many par saves. I even had some worse than pars. I should have played more hole the hobbit way 180 drive, 150 to the green. SECONDLY, The pano is very cool, reminiscent of the Misty Mountains. But I would have liked some holes to cut through densely forested Mirkwood. I loved the greens and suspect that they would be a real killer on very dry. Overall, a fine and interesting effort.

How about some pics so we can see more of where these hobbits like to play. Also, seeing as how hobbits are very small by nature ƒft-46 normally), I hope the course is lengthened to suit our larger size.
