Nice looking and plays great. Cant wait for the Belfry, played there and it is awsome, do it justice and you will have a winner.

Great job in making this very true to the real course. As TeeOff mentioned, I live very close to this course. The course is relatively flat because it was built on an old ranch that was largely cattle grazing meadow and wetlands. Try the 6 key when you are in the game and you will see the actual environment surrounding the course. You will see Washoe Lake, and the wetlands frequented by ducks, and those that enjoy hunting them. To the west you will see the Sierra abruptly ascend from the valley floor. The large peak to the north-west is Slide Mountain, named for obvious reasons. The course may be on the flat side, but it more than makes up for it with well placed hazards and a need for careful shot placements

Thanks Dan for your comments. Ive tried to get Thunder Canyon as accurate as possible, perhaps it may have needed more elevation. The best person to judge on the realism would be Hackerhannafin as he provided the digital photos of the pano. He lives only miles away from the course. Regarding St Mellion, it is a favourite of mine. I did do the Nicklaus course for 2005. After I have finished my current project, The Belfry, I will be doing that one. My intention is to build the Old Course on the same land plot as the Nicklaus Course. You will be aware both courses are combined together. Jack Nicklaus designed this course in and around the Old Course. CA2k6 permitting, I will be releasing 2 courses from the same land plot.

The way we are playing here you might want to throw the clubs in the lake. If you throw the clubs in the lake, you might miss the lake.
No course in the works: retired. |
