thanks for the comments Steve.. I know what you mean about the trees, I could have done better with the planting, I was trying to achieve a heavily wooded look and feel for the course, so I used quite a few trees in the planting, but now that I look back on it a few less trees would perhaps have been better, providing a more natural look.
I love the golf courses that have an abundance of trees, towering pines and so forth, like the courses up north. Morro Bay is one that I had in mind when I was designing this one, as I have always loved that old, venerable course.
That was the look and feel I was trying to create, but I may have overdone it a bit.
live and learn, I always say.. my next designs will have a better planting job for sure!
