Herchel,
Thanks so much for the input!!! I appreciate some constructive criticism.
And thanks for the advice on the libraries. I wanted lots of pines, which was sadly lacking from many libraries I tried, hence the use of Bethpage Black Course. However, I see that there are more important issues than simply my vision. Playability is paramount.
One thing. I have had problems with the course being choppy on my machine, but have heard no other reports of this. Is there some good reason that you can think of!
I have already started my second design. It is a real course, but the topographic research continues. Look for it by the end of the summer!
Thanks again, youre a champ.

For a first course, this is a very good effort. I am most impressed with the greens which are sloped very well, yet fair, which is a common problem with rookie designers.
A couple things to think about for future designs. First, vary the height of your trees more. I saw too many of the same tree at the same height right next to each other which looks very fake. Second, choose your libraries wisely. Im not sure why you would use two libs (bethpage04 and sawgrass05) when current ྦ) ones exist with essentially the same trees. The 06 stock textures are pretty good compared to earlier years. The 05 libs have been rumored to affect gameplay and memory usage, and also drive up the file size for those downloading it.
Lastly, work on adding some more elevation. The course seemed very flat in spots. I did like the 18th a lot, and there are some very creatively laid out holes otherwise. Overall, nice job, and I look forward to future courses.

As this is my first course, I am interested in any feedback that anyone can provide, particularly those designers who have perfected the creation process. Please let me know of any difficulties with the installation, play, or other problems and I will get right to work on fixing them. As of yet, all the comments have been positive, and I want to thank ThMn2k for helping me critique. (by the way ThMn, I made some changes, could be since then.....for the better, I dont know).
Thanks in advance for everyones input and for downloading my course! )
