Bruce where i agree with all the comments about taking your time etc. This bisiness about a bmp not showing up is simply not true I suggest you check it out . Yes by all means use the template save it as a tga 32bit , but a bmp will show all by its self just a blk line on the right side which I have seen a few designers do.
Willie I offered to give you a hand with the splash or flag for that matter, offer still stands. It typically takes some time to create a course 45 days is about right for 1 course. No one is trying discourage but incourage. More time will give you and others who dl and play the course mush enjoyment

I dont care if you use jumping kangaroos for a splash if its not in the form of a TGA it simply wont show up in the game, really i dont care i will just omit it from the zip file if you choose to use Bmp before uploading it to twc, if you choose to get huffy over it and choose not to add a splash that is fine to, your course, you can do what you like with it lol.
flag...I have a flag but the last course a comment was made to use 1 per course name but i chose to use my Frat shield flag for all my courses but that is not acceptabe either so it again was omitted.Quote
You can use any flag you wish again i dont care i simply suggested that it might be nice to give each course its own identity with a flag of its own, but if you choose to add the same one for every course or none at all is again your choice to get huffy about a suggestion is really quite ridiculous to the extreme.
Oh and yes i think i will wait and see if there is an upgrade on this course before i waste my time uploading it to twc.
If you dont like people making comments and suggestions about your courses dont ask for them thx

As i stated, this course was build on a land fill. In about 3-5 years,chemicals from the land fill came to the top soil area and the course could not withstand that. the grass died and the trees would not grow. NOW TO GET TO YOUR POINTS:
1...The course is flat with very little elevations.
2..the traps are in the main Flat
3..Yes i did use diff. textures because all fairways are not of the same grass type..i.e,some have bent grass some with rye grass some with bermuda and other with a combination of the three types. (certain areas of the course ,only certain kind of grass will grow).I tried to capture the course as i remember it after playing ther for over 1,000 times or more.

( To use the splash screen template as i understand it from the faqs section you need photoshop or some other pic editing software and since photoshop edition cost about $80.00 i am not going there for that.

Willie, Im begging you to please take your time and not just upload every 18 holes that you finish. If you took the time to go to Google Earth, you certainly could take the time to do a little elevation work on the course. Everything except your greens is completely flat, and the greens themselves are boarderline unplayable for some hole locations. All but a few bunkers are flat, and all the tee box areas are flat. The fairway textures vary from hole to hole as well as the first cut, which is very distracting. Why not use the same textures for the entire course? Take the time to do a course right. You are far beyond the rookie designer at this point. Read the tutorials, and take the time to do a good splash screen and flag for your course.
Im not saying this to be mean, but you need to read the info out there on course design. There are plenty of people around the forums here and at TWC who would be very happy to help.
