Excellent version of a great coure and runs very well on TW 08, on advanced with plenty of wind its a real challenge but so rewarding.

Really, really nice pleasant-"donkey" (*ahem*......I would say 'pleasant'-ASS.....but that would kind of sound 'vulgar' and 'immature,' wouldn't it? Which is why I prefer to use more 'mature' phraseology by utilizing the suffix '-donkey' in lieu of -'ass.' I'm kind of like Andy Bell of Erasure; "I hereby do swear to live my life according to grace.") replication of the real life golf course.
This replication of Oakmont is very, very well done: Course colors are vibrant and the flora - thecombination of decidous trees and conifers- is very nice and pleasant. Course design is a true 'bona fida' U.S. Open-style course: Very long and narrow fairways, some of which have lots of twists, and small greens. Not much elevation change, there is quite a bit of undulation in the greens.
Even from the middle tee, I was unable to reach more than several par 4s on my approach shots......and was not quite able to reach one or two par 3 greens -even from the tee. Exceptionally-long course and excellent design.

When I play this course on '08 it crashes every on every other hole, and this has not happened with any course, including '06 vintage ones. Any suggestions?

I love this course. Its next to impossible, yet its totally fair. Finally a course that doesnt throw up a bunch of trees to make it hard.

Spectacular design, the best Ive downloaded, I really dont know how people design courses that are this good, presumably when they wouldnt have played them also. ONE thing though if anyone can help me on this - when I play this course it doesnt have a panorama, any ideas?

Big...lets not go down that road again! Hyno has listed a Designer Notes section in his comments that mentions David Allen (DRAllen). Any further comments about this will be deleted. We as a staff are not going to deal with it anymore.

good to know like i said, i had lotsa fun, gonna play this one a bunch ill bet even on still/dry if you get a few strokes behind you can have faith that if you play real tight you can still catch up some i played with hated it, but they dont have the skillz yet one guy i played with lives a couple miles from the actual course, and said its true to the real one i aspire to make a course that hits the sweet spot between challenge and playability the way this one does (still gotta see the site plan for the course tho, gotta be 10 or 12 foot difference between top and bottom of some of those greens, maybe more)

played this course on dry, very nice some of the hardest greens ive seen very steep we played dry/gusty and winning score was -6, and we are no slouches almost all of the greens held the putts, but would be interested in seeing the blueprints for the actual course to see if they really are that steep compares to kapalua on greens but with easier approaches lotsa fun
