One of the best I have played! Thank you so much - just a beautiful course. Realistic, fabulous scenery, lots of fun! I am going to download some more of your courses for sure. Thanks again!

Its a nice effort, mostly realistic, but the real course, unfortunately, is kind of a dull slog.

Good day barrylb37,

I just downloaded and installed Firestone South 06 V2. Very well done! The problem I experience with some of the other courses I have downloaded is the color of the grass. Too bright, not green enough etc., This course was perfect.

Many thanks, James

This is an outstanding rendition of Firestone. It makes for a very scenic and tough 18 holes of golf set for breezy and dry conditions. The narrow tree-lined fairways require accurate teeshots if you want to have a chance to make some birdies find the rough and a par is a good score. This is an extremely realistic course, it feels like youre playing the real thing and makes for a very delightful round of golf. Just another wonderful addition to go along with Black Creek, Red Mill Pond and Callisto all of which I thoroughly enjoy. Your hard work pays off with all the smiles it brings to those of us lucky enough to play your exceptional courses.

I dont get it. Everyone complaining about beta testing and minor faults. The guy did a great job on the course. I really appreciate your job!! Thanks for a beautiful course.

It was an oversight and I have already apologized for this. Actually, I liked it better that way. But others didnt share my opinion.

this is a very nice course you should download it.

but you knew this problem was there and you released it anyway? LMFAO! that is worse then not knowing there was a problem there and then fixing it. lol

I said it before, this issue was not due to a lack of beta testing. I was aware of the problem and just neglected to fix it. My bad. The point is, designers spend countless hours putting together the best course they can and the only thanks we get for it is feedback. Most of the comments here are not relative to this course, I was merely trying to point that out. There are forums for these discussions. I am not uptight, Im just a little annoyed that we are off the subject.

What does beta testing have to do with anything here? I wouldnt mind some constuctive comments, (good or bad). This is out of hand and not relative.

It can get a little tiring with everyone releasing 2 and even 3 versions of courses (especially being on dialup lol). However, I think this rerelease needed to happen and was worth it. It was a great course before, with the exception of that first cut which really wasnt fair, as someone hitting the ball a foot off the fairway had a worse lie than someone 10 yards off the fairways. Now with the fix its a great course no exceptions, so I think that makes it worth a V2. Good work and I think its nice you listened to the people who played it and was willing to fix it.

I wasent saying your course wasent good, I think your first version is a top 10. and yes your version 2 is just as good also.
just was trying to make a point that there is alot of fixing going on is all. not just yours. just wanted to make that clear that I do like your course alot... just seems everyone is rereleasing these days...

OK,

Lets not get this out of perspective. The problem was that the light rough played heavy. This was not EAs fault, was not a glitch in the program, and was not a lack of proper testing. It was purely a lapse in judgement on my part. I asked everyone if I should fix it, the overwhelming majority said yes. So I did. I think its a great course. I hope you do too.

It seems to me that if TW2k6 were more stable we wouldnt be having so much trouble with download courses. I cant remember ever having so many issues with any other earlier version. Maybe if EASports wasnt in so much of a hurry to make a buck, there wouldnt be the problems this version seems to be riddled with.
