As a 'life-long' 'connoisseur' of "PC golf games," one of the 'earlier' golf games for the PC which I owned back in around 1996 was called "Jack Nicklaus 4: Golden Bear Challenge" or something to that effect.
Having owned that PC title, I became knowledgeable of Jack Nicklaus the 'golf course designer' much more so than I did of Jack Nicklaus the 'golfer.' I immediately took to Jack's golf course design philosophy -just from playing that PC game. I have come to realize that "The Golden Bear" has the uncanny knack of designing very challenging courses that appear as though they 'were made by nature,' rather than 'man-made.' Over the years, having golfed many courses on the PC, I feel that Nicklaus is my favorite golf course 'designer' -more so than any other designer whether it be Pete Dye or any other renowned greats.
One of my all-time favorite courses is the Jack-Nicklaus-designed Castle Pines golf course in Colorado -an extremely challenging alpine course which used to host the annual PGA event called "The International" which was very popular with PGA and international players -- and which consisted of the 'stableford' format of scoring.
I consider the "Nicklaus North Golf Course" -having just now played it in TW PGA 06- to be 'solid Nicklaus' but not quite a 'stellar' Nicklaus design: Many or most fairways are very narrow and twisting, the alpine vistas are spectacular, and water comes into play in several holes.
Mocking birds and purple warblers chirp incessantly throughout all holes -so much that it is pretty much 'torturous' to play this golf course without earplugs. Though I'm no 'botanist,' simian screams most reminiscent of the sounds made by 'holwer monkeys' also emanate periodically from deep within the forest to torment the golfer who dursts to challenge this course...

Thanks for the kind words guys....
@ Loveclose: The Bridges lib is installed when you install the Course Architect, available for DL @ EA.com (Although I believe these libs are unchanged from last year....) Wierd, must be a graphic card issue.....water fine on most machines.

Great course, very picturesque, and no graphic glitches with this download. Lovely job.
I have a couple of observations/queries if you dont mind my asking. Bear in mind that when it comes to course design, you beat me considerably, so if I say the wrong thing, please say so!
1) When I intalled the libraries using the TW2006 course utilities, the programme asked for the Bridges library, which I duly installed from the TW2005 stock library. It seemed to work - was this the correct thing to do?
2) Bunker textures and rough textures look really excellent
3) Zipped round your course in novice mode to get the feel of it - I reckon this would be a tough course in anything above intermediate level - great job.
4) Only texture for me that was disappointing was the water. Looked bland by comparison to everything else. May be my graphics card, but have the water settings set to high for the TW2006 game and it works fine. Water looks more green than blue...is there a library that I need to install, bearing in mind that the course utilites prog asked for a library that wasnt listed on your download page?
This course will stay on my hard disc - thanks for the hard work.

This is a nice update to Tee-Off Towerseys excellent 2004 version of this course (right down to the plagaraized, grammatically incorrect Course Info text file) with the greater capabilities of 06 really bringing out the feel of being there. The black flag is harder to see than the 2004 white one, but the course is a definite keeper.
