Course looks good..but...on some greens there are hidden breaks that make your ball fly hard left or right, there are a few sloped tee boxes. Not bad though, 14 is different but playable if you really look at the hole, keep your driver in the bag or youll be in bad shape.

#5 is an awesome hole. It is SO nice as an end user to have a challenge without it being some wacked out fantasy hole. There is NOTHING unfair about #5 and I do not rememebr a rule that says a Par 5 has to be reachable in 2. Play smart off tee...leave your rulers at home kiddies, here ya you need brains...

Folks this course is very.very well done!! There is nothing unfair or unrealistic about it. For those that liked and miss dampas courses this one will scratch that itch. Take it from another long time designer, just as barry is, this course is killer. I dont think a rookie designer should be poppin on here telling us what everyone likes or doesnt, esp on levels he doesnt play!! This course is one of the better ones this year. All of barrys work is good and very enjoyale to play!! If certain rookies spent as much time working on their courses as they did trying to ruin someone elses they to may get a good review from someone other than a clubmate or online buddy!! Good Job Barry

i try to push the envelope in every one of my courses with one or two elements. the intent is to make it interesting, without sacrificing realism. if i dont go over the edge once in a while, im not pushing hard enough. this gets boring if you dont take chances. tiered greens are not unrealistic, they exist in thousands of real courses. this one, although difficult to mow, works with this short par 4, the way i intended it to. i respect your opinion, i just disagree.

i have to respectfully disagree with the previous comments. the 14th green is tough, but not unfair. its a very difficult birdie, but each tier of that green is pretty flat. its not difficult to chip close and make par. and what is wrong with elevation changes?

Emerald Valley is a very well made course.i really like the cliffs. you even put some small trees , or bushes on the cliffs , which gave it that realistic look.i saw a 2 tier green i think on hole 14, that was awesome. 2 thumbs up on this 1. keep up the gr8 work. cant wait to see your next 1.

Barry, you are truly one of the elite course designers. I have all your courses and every one of them is great. Even the screen shots here look like postcards of a real course. Ill be looking for your next design and thanks for this excellent course.

This is one of the finest courses to date, by the designer of two of my favorite courses, Pine Valley and Mystic Mt. A beautiful design, smooth play, challenging layout. A must DL kids, truley the gem it is named after.
