Slick take it from someone who has been blasted evey which way there is for his work and dont let the little stuff get to ya. Posting back to defend your work only fuels the fire. I am more than willing to bet this is another designer blasting you for no other reason than spite. By the way this person speaks I have more than a hunch who it is. I liked the raised fairways and I like this course. Im terrible at golfing online and like most of my courses I played 70% of my shots from the rough. That to me is more real than shooting super below par #s like allot of these courses coming out. So just sit back, relax after a course is done, and laugh at the negative stuff, especially if its from the famed golf critic guest!

As far as changing this course, I have no plans on altering it and re-releasing it, however I appreciate your suggestions and I certinally will learn from yours and others advice. Thankyou for being respectful. Not that it matters but this is not my first course, I have several out as Big.Slick, and a few in the past using my real name (Joseph Romeike) I changed my label because as a poker player I like the term big slick, it means having an ace and king in the hole when playing Holdem. Thanks again.

enjoyed the course big slick. its different. thats what i thought designing was suppose to be! if we all created the same courses then golf really would be boring. i am a rookie at this. i got slammed by a guest on the first course i released last week, but i fully intend on re-releasing it later. i sure would like to see what some of these guest would design.

Well guest, I dont want to elevate this anymore than it is, I suspect you are probably a decent guy who is just rather rough around the edges. I dont at all feel that you are wrong in your opinion, because it is yours, and others agree with you..but notice how Steve made it clear he does not like the whole raised fairway concept but is classly enough not to be insulting about it. I tried something and few people like it... Ok I can live with that but when someone basically trashes everything with nothing to build on, then I feel like ok I will just not share my work. The truth is that those little comments of encouragement or notice of something done right are the main reason I participate in designing... Please understand I dont need any of what you call inspiration like that, some designers are miles ahead of others and if I am in the rear, you pointing that out does not inspire me at all. I guess what it comes down to, is if you spend 20 min.s downloading free designs that someone spent many hours working on and feel the need to inspire them, try inspiring yourself to do better. I can honestly say that if you do, and someone trashes you, you then will understand why it is wrong to be overly critical. Golf design is art not science, the designers and most users seem to understand that. I would have sent this message personally to you but I dont know how to contact you.

I appreciate the appreciation... When people recognize how hard we work on these courses then we dont mind constructive critism. But some people werent held enough as babies and just dont care about others... I really doubt I could ever satisfy that guy, and thats ok. Im impressed that you took your time to defend what I produced with about 50 hrs of work...(mostly at night). Thankyou sincerely, Big.Slick

This big dont mind the small ones that put all of the hard work into creating a golf course as far as i am concerned anyone that sits down and makes a 18 hole course my hat comes off to them. The small ones that keep slamming the architect have np idea the hard work we put into creating these courses and the sad thing is were doing it for them. I played your course bro and i think its a awesome course to play and alot of fun so please keep designing and dont pay attention to the small minds.
