where do i get this custom course patch? and is that why 90% of the courses i download r unplayable? even thought the installer tells me it was successful?

gave it another try in another clubs trmt...same result...club distances are on their own AI...and slider works in reverse...not saying its a designer flaw...but this place is a mess...looks great, would have loved to play it...but it was too much chaos for me!!

not sure if its the designers fault or EAs...but the club distances are all wrong(have their own AI) and slider works backwards on almost every other hole...gr8 looking place/design, but player friendliness is awful!!

I honestly have not experienced this problem, so I am as confused as anyone else, are you playing with a pro player like Tiger Woods?, or a custom player. I noticed that a new custom player with low attributes doesnt hit the ball very far, but when I play with a pro level player I hit normal shots, have you installed the patch? Other than that I wish I could help, this course is not going to be fun if you cant reach the fairways. I hope we can figure this out. Has anyone who is having this problem tried the other 2005 courses, is it not a problem on them? Good luck, I can tell you, there is nothing I have done differently than before, and I have not heard of this problem till now.

Can this designer or other designer please tell me the reason that some club distances are not accurately reflected for some holes?

The Custom Course patch is on the same site as the Course Architect and Library Creator program...the EA Sports web site. They made the game, so they made the patch as well.

Thank you for the comments, Im glad some people really seem to like the course. Im sorry not everyone has gotten it to work. I have a 1.6gh AMD chip, geforce 5200fx graphics card with 128 mb onboard ddr ram, and 512mb ddr system ram. My mother board is as out of date as a wooden snowboard. If your system is = or than mine you should have no issues running this course provided you INSTALLED THE CUSTOM COURSE PATCH. As for club distances, when I tested it with players at pro level with high attribute points, (such as Tiger Woods), the ball went plenty far. When I used a custom player (amateur), the ball did not go far at all. I assume I need to go through the Q schools and lessons to raise the player attributes if I want my new golfer to hit the ball as far as John Daly. I hope this helps. By the way I really appreciate the kind comments, even though the designers cant make everyone happy it is very pleasing to make someones cyber golf a little more enjoyable. Well I dont knowwhat myfriend from germany peoblem is, could be Hardware or what ever, the course loaded W/O a hitch, and worked great during game play. Very nice layed out holes on the course. I say it is a keeper being it is a true first reg made 18 hole course made. Hats off to you for such a nice job.And being the first on the shelf with # 1 Course, I,m sure there will e better courses, but you will still be # one :).
BTW: The 18 hole par 3 may been the first course (also a nice looking one at that, but it is not a reg layed out ones as Astoria Dunes where you could p[lay a turney on with regulation holes, with all the requried par 3 to par 5 pars holes put in.If Im wrong corret on the first statment let me no and I will edit my post thx.

Im glad for those of you who hit the ball in real life the same distance EVERY SINGLE TIME at ALL COURSES EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD. The fact is I hit the ball about 30 yards farther in higher elevations then I do at sea level, and second the designers have no say in the club distances in the game, so please quit knocking courses that YOU dont hit the ball the same distance at.

I must say, that nothing works right on this course. The slider with most clubs, the distances from the short shots are wrong too. Looks nice and interesting, but no fun to play with this mistakes. Sry for that comment, but thats what i thought after playing.
