Shinnecok Hills by JMWALL is fantstic. No fancy eye candy here, like the real course, it is just hole after hole of tough "US Open style" golf. This means, of course, narrow fairways, chokingly deep rough and deviously placed bunkers. You WILL be punished if you stray too far from the short grass! I've always felt golf courses should lead the player into a slow crescendo that ends with a dramatic finish. Shinnecock doesn't disapoint in this respect. The 16th is a testing Par 5 that can reward you with a fist-pumping eagle or a round-deflating "snowman". The 17th is a beautiful downhill Par 3 that may lull you to sleep, and the finish at 18 is a postage stamp landing area for you tee shot, followed by an uphill approach to triumph or tragedy on the final green. this is the single worst real golf course i have ever played. it bears absolutly no resembolence to the original shinnecock. the greens are too small, the fairways too tight, the elevation changes are all incorrect. the green contours are not even close, and the bunker placement and mock up of the topography are pathetic at best. you have obviously never played shinnecock. dont download this and expect to get an accurate representation of the course.
