Using the same pano (DesertBound) as the Campers GC (also designed by rlslay !), this layout is easier with less sandy areas, trees and no water hazards to worry about, except on the 17th hole... If you still have your backpack handy, then this par 72 will be a nice complement to its sister course, with a more challenging front 9, as evidenced by the dogleg left par-5 1st hole, facing the hills and the camper vans, with a cute little house (to the right of the tee box), two big bunkers in the middle of the fairway, hard to avoid with your first shot, and a long and blind second shot try to reach the downhill green (not that easy), and the straight but very challenging par-4 2nd, with a tee shot through a small gap between trees, flying steeply downhill and a blind approach to the green. Another tough hole is the dogleg left par-4 4th, with plenty of bunkers on both sides of the fairway, midway, and more around the slightly-elevated green, but the straight par-3 5th, with trees (on the right) partially hiding the green, is not that easy either. Two other holes are worth mentioning : the par-5 7th is a dogleg right, with an elevated green, reachable with a long second shot, whereas the par-4 8th is a dogleg... left, quite tricky, with a blind tee shot over bushes and trees (right in front) to cut the corner, landing near five bunkers, midway, and with an elevated green to reach. Coming back, you will have a golden opportunity for an eagle on the dogleg right par-5 10th hole, with an undulating fairway and a slightly-elevated green, before facing later on the dogleg right par-4 12th, with a blind and uphill tee shot flying past a couple of tall trees on both sides in front of the tee box downward to an undulating fairway and a slightly-elevated green, and the short, but challenging dogleg right par-5 17th, with a blind tee shot over a small mound across landing near an elongated lake, midway (on the left), offering you another clear shot for an eagle. If this Dusty Roads GC course is not visually as spectacular as the Campers GC, it is, nevertheless quite enjoyable and a nice way to finish) your camping adventure, before heading back to your van to listen to the song "Dust in the wind", sung by the Kansas group in 1977 !

Another beauty Rob! Thanks for your works. I noticed the other day on the Canada Club course the par 5 9th, the entire fairway is cut texture. Not sure if that's what you intended... just wanted to let yu know. Thanks again!

Not sure how I got the first comment on the course, always prefer to be a backup commentator, to someone that knows what to say, like Holein1. In any event, all I ask of a fantasy course generally is that it is so well done it plays like a real course, and Dusty Roads meets that criteria exactly. True bounces, fair but challenging greens, fair bounces on the fairways and around the greens. Thanks, rlslay, continue to appreciate your talent and effort.
