This was a magnificent course. Everything played well....until the tee on the 18th. If you hover your mouse over the overhead map on the tee box, it shows (and plays) "CUT" Rough. Knowing how great your courses are, I believe this was just a missed click. Keep up the great work!!

Not only is this course gorgeous, with its beautiful mountainous panorama and plantings, it is also quite challenging, with a few narrow and undulating fairways, its slight elevation changes (and blind shots) and its strategically-placed water hazards, near the greens. On the front 9, my favorite holes are the pretty tree-lined dogleg left par-4 2nd, facing snowy mountain peaks, with a big pond, filled with reeds (in the inner corner, midway), and the par-5 3rd, along trees (on the left) and with a small elongated lake, flowing midway and ending in front of the green. Then, after the cute par-3 5th hole and its green surrounded by four bunkers (with nice flowers behind), I also enjoyed the very challenging par-5 7th, with a blind tee shot landing onto a narrow tree-lined fairway, winding to the left, then to the right in the direction of the green, hidden by trees (and with a small pond in front of a big rock (on the right) to watch for on your downhill second shot), and the scenic par-3 8th, with a tee shot over part of a big lake, filled with reeds again. The back 9 has some very nice holes too, starting with the gorgeous dogleg right par-4 10th, with a blind and downhill tee shot landing short of two small lakes, linked in the middle by a small creek, and a blind and uphill approach to an undulating green, and the pretty but very tough par-4 11th, with a fairway quite narrow with trees and bunkers (on the left) and along a huge lake (on the right). The par-4 12th hole is similar to the 11th but a βtadβ easier, with a blind and downhill tee shot landing onto a fairway, framed by trees (on the left) and a wide lake, and is followed by two dogleg holes (par-5 13th, to the right, and par-4 14th, to the left), with blind and downhill tee shots on both of them. The last four holes are pretty and will test you with plenty of water to deal with, such as on the dogleg left par-4 15th, with a green, set next to the tip of a wide lake, the scenic par-3 16th, with a tee shot over an elongated lake and a small bridge, midway, the dogleg left par-4 17th, with a tee shot landing near a wide lake, midway on the right) β and trees on the left β and a long second shot to reach the green, and the dogleg left par-4 18th hole, slightly uphill all the way, and with a gorgeous clubhouse with a small pond in front, behind the undulating green. As usual, Micko came up with another eye-pleasing and colorful course, and one of his best, with plenty of challenging shots where you will pay dearly if you hit errant shots. But if you are patient enough, you should break par on this Stone Pine Canyon, before enjoying a well-deserved rest at the clubhouse !

Well, you know if Holein1 is involved it's going to be a great-looking course with a beautiful pano - and it is! Greens very dry were fair, and to brag just a bit I chipped in for birdies 4 times! Have no idea why... For me the fairways were hard to hit, and you don't want to be too far off of them, the rough, average, under the trees took me at least two shots to get back to a lie I could play from, usually backwards. Want to thank Micko for his work, for all his work to make this site what it is today. Don't know what libraries are new, but everything looked great, so kudos to their designers, too. And should mention Holein1 and Raylloyd7 as representative of all the folks who test the courses before they are released - It takes a team I guess, thanks to all.
