Wow ! What a spectacular view as you get ready to tee off on the par-5 1st hole, facing small villages perched on high hills, making you forget that you will need to hit a precise shot downhill to land onto a narrow fairway, winding its way, slightly to the right, before firing a long approach in the direction of the green. This nice panorama can be seen on almost every hole, such as the par-3 2nd, the gorgeous dogleg right par-5 4th, with a tee shot over the coastline landing onto an undulating and narrow fairway, leaving you with a tough second shot to reach the green (and its gentle slope), and the dogleg par-4 5th, with a fairway quite narrow again, with trees (on the left) and the coastline (on the right), and an elevated green, slightly to the right. After the wide open par-4 6th hole, with a narrow fairway right above the cliff and a green, slightly to the right, if you suffer from dizziness, then “skip” (ha, ha !) the par-3 7th, with its tee shot flying above the sand and the cliff, and the 8th, another par-3, less scary but still nice with a tee shot over deep rough near the cliff, before moving on to the par-4 9th, quite short and straight, but not that easy, with a small green, guarded by two small and deep bunkers in front. Coming home, another par-3, the 10th hole, awaits you, requiring a tee shot over deep rough and a couple of big rocks, before seeing the scenery change with the links-style dogleg par-4 11th, quite bare, with a few bunkers along the way and a slightly-elevated green. Two inland par-5 holes follow with the dogleg left 12th, and its huge green, potentially reachable with a very long second shot (can’t believe I hit a 21-yard eagle !), and the dogleg 13th, bending sharply to the right, with five bunkers to worry about, midway in the corners, and another eagle possibility. The short par-4 14th hole is also pretty, with a tee shot over a serpentine creek, landing near (or in, in my case !) bunkers, then winding its way in front of the green (and out to the sea), over which you will have to hit your approach, before seeing again the coastline and the ocean (on the left) and walking over to the dogleg right par-4 15th. The finishing holes are very challenging, starting with the straight par-4 16th, and its tee shot over plenty of sand and a cliff, and continuing with the very scary par-3 17th, and its tiny green, set above the cliff, before finishing with the spectacular dogleg left par-5 18th, hugging the coastline, but with a green offering you one last eagle opportunity. With this par 72, rlslay designed another beauty, just like he did with his Mediterranean Golf and Resort course (released six months earlier), where you will have the luxury of playing two courses for “the price of one”, after playing the front 9 along the coastline before enjoying a links-style layout, from the par-4 11th hole, all the way until the 18th green !

Well, if you're searching for a beautiful course, some nice elevation, greens that are playable on very dry, some challenging tee shots, and cliffs and water you want to stay away from, this is it! Just a work of art, and a pleasure to play. Thanks Rob/rlslay for another great course, an instant favorite. Nobody should pass on this one.
