11 years after Sammy08 designed this course, MSR Golf offers us another pretty rendition of this real course, where everything looks so clean and green, with nice plantings and some tough water hazards to deal with. On the front 9, my favorite holes are the dogleg right par-5 2nd, with a tee shot along an elongated sandy area filled with a couple of palm trees (on the right), and a very long and risky second shot toward an undulating and elevated green, partially hidden by trees (on the left) and with a lake (on the right, with 2 fountains) to watch for, and the nice but tough par-3 4th, along an elongated lake (on the right), and with a couple of trees near the tee box, hiding the view of the green. I also enjoyed the dogleg right par-4 5th hole, with its fairway, sloping from left to right, hugging a lake, and its slightly-elevated green, and the par-3 6th, with a blind tee shot over a big mound, landing onto a green, with water (on the left) and trees, halfway around. The par-4 7th hole, while straight, is very tricky with a tee shot over an elongated lake, landing midway on a heavily-sloped fairway (from right to left), and an uphill approach to an elevated green, and is followed by the straight par-4 8th, with a sandy area filled with trees all along (on the left) and another heavily-sloped (from left to right) and rollercoaster fairway, and a blind tee shot toward the undulating green. Coming back, the dogleg left par-5 11th hole is quite scenic, with a tee shot over a little bit of the lake and past – or between - trees (on its bank), and a long second shot toward the elevated green, hidden by trees (on the left), and is followed by another dogleg left, the par-4 12th, with a tee shot over a lake (mostly on the right) landing down and with an elevated green. I also liked the pretty par-3 13th hole, with a tee shot over a wide lake, and its narrow green, framed by a big bunker (on the left) and a "bunker-like" area filled with deep rough (on the right), and the dogleg par-5 15th, along a lake (on the left), bordered by sand, midway, and with a green, reachable on your second shot for a potential eagle. As for the last two holes, they are quite challenging with the nice par-3 17th, along a lake on the right, offering a pretty panoramic view, further back behind the green, and the scenic dogleg left par-4 18th, along sand, trees and a lake, with a blind tee shot over a small plateau, landing onto a fairway (sloping from right to left), and a blind uphill approach downward to the green. However, if this par 72 plays very smoothly and is quite enjoyable and close to the real Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, I had a few strange displaying “bugs” (?) on three holes (par-4 7th, par-4 12th and par-3 17th), with parts of the lakes looking... uphill (!), along with plenty of trees and bushes in the water on the dogleg left par-5 15th hole, an unusual sight for a course designed by MSR Golf !
