Well, a bit of a false front on #1 took me by surprise...and my drive on 18 ended up in the rough, so I picked a club, took a look and almost fainted, a huge cavern (didn't look to me like a small, deep ditch, Holein1) between me and the green! Ended up pitching out to the fairway! What a great and challenging course, lots of bunkers, but lots of ways to spoil a round. Thanks, rlslay, for another masterpiece, for all your work, talent and ability.

Another beautiful course from rlslay, with small wooded mountains and a couple of huge rocks above the ocean as a panorama, and quite enjoyable, with its nice and sparse tropical vegetation, and challenging with plenty of water to deal with, especially around the greens, sometimes hard to reach... You will find out, right away, what awaits you with the dogleg left par-4 1st hole, with water winding its way across the fairway then flowing not too far in front of the elevated green, before moving on to the par-3 2nd, offering a pretty panoramic view as you reach its downhill green. Then, after the straight and wide open par-4 3rd hole, slightly uphill all the way, the next three holes are very pretty and tough : the dogleg par-4 4th hole has a fairway hugging a huge lake (on the left) - with small trees, bushes and flowers (on the right) - all the way to the green, set slightly to the left and surrounded by five bunkers, and is followed by the dogleg right par-5 5th, superb but very tricky, with a tee shot over a wide lake, landing near a lone palm tree, shrubs and a bunker (right in the middle of the fairway, and with more bunkers on the sides), and a long approach along a smaller lake (on the right), ending to the right side of the green. More water comes into play on the nice dogleg left par-4 6th hole, facing the small mountains and with a tee shot landing near another elongated lake (on the right) and flowing past the green in the direction of the ocean, and the risk/reward dogleg par-4 7th, very pretty along a lake (on the left) and with a tee shot flying over a big bunker across the fairway and (hopefully) landing further past plenty of bushes and a couple of trees, splitting it right in the middle. Finally, after the down-and-up dogleg par-4 8th hole, back “inland”, you will complete the front 9 with a dogleg right par-4, uphill all the way and with a small and deep ditch, midway, over which you will have to hit your second shot to get to the green. Another spectacular view awaits you on the par-4 10th hole, facing small mountains, with an undulating fairway and two downhill shots leading to the green, next to the water behind, just like on the pretty par-3 11th, with a tee shot over the water landing onto a peninsula green, before facing two straight and easier holes (par-4 12th, with a tee shot over a wide lake across, and the wide open par-5 13th, quite long (around 615 yards) and slightly downhill all the way. The par-3 14th hole is quite picturesque and risky with a small elongated green, framed by a big bunker (on the left) and a big pond (on the right), unlike the straight and easier par-4 15th, with bunkers lined up on both sides of the fairway, starting midway and ending next to the green. As for the last three holes, you will have to watch out for the water again, starting with the dogleg right par-4 16th, with a downhill tee shot flying past a tall palm tree and a green, with water around (on the far right and behind), followed by the gorgeous dogleg par-4 17th, with a downhill fairway hugging water (on the left) all the way to the green, and finishing with the dogleg right par-5 18th, back inland, but with a very long second shot to reach the green, with a small and deep ditch, two-thirds of the way, to watch for. In the end, even though I did not see Tom Hanks being... cast away (!), this Castaways GC is a pure delight to watch, and if you can manage to escape without too much damage playing some of those risky holes (5th, 7th, 14th), you should not... cast it away, as it is another beauty from rlslay !
