Don’t be fooled by this nice countryside course from rlslay : with its small rolling hills far away, abundant vegetation (with plenty of bushes all along undulating fairways), and with quite a few dogleg holes, this par 72 is not as easy as it seems at first glance. Case in point : three of the first six holes are par-5s, starting with the pretty dogleg right 1st, and continuing later on with the long (more than 600 yards) dogleg left 5th, with two small, but deep, bunkers in the middle of the fairway, midway, making your tee shot quite tricky (and an eagle, an impossible task), and the shorter 6th, straight but with an undulating fairway quite narrow with bunkers on both sides, midway, and a green, this time easy to reach for a potential eagle. As you will find out, there are plenty of well-placed bunkers awaiting your errant shots, such as on the dogleg left par-4 9th hole, with a blind tee shot along trees (in the inner corner) and a deep bunker, right behind (in the middle of the fairway !). The par-4 10th hole is another example, with three small deep bunkers, lined up a few yards apart in the middle of the fairway, making your tee shot quite risky, just like the dogleg left par-4 11th, slightly uphill all the way and with another big bunker, in the middle of the fairway, midway. The scenery then changes with water coming into play on the dogleg right par-4 14th hole, with an undulating fairway hugging a lake (on the left), ending midway, leaving you with a long approach toward the green, and the similar dogleg to the right par-4 15th, but with two small bunkers in the middle of the fairway (not far from the lake, on the left). But the best is for last, with the scenic dogleg left par-5 18th hole, with water all along, winding its way to the right, and ending up next to the green. Fun to play, this Countryside GC 2016 course offers some challenging shots, with plenty of deep bunkers, often in the middle of the fairways, making your tee shots crucial if you want to have a chance to reach its wide (and, often, undulating) greens, in order to tame this well-designed par 72 from rlslay...

I glad you liked my courses but, they are the way I see them and want. You can learn to design and make your own real world designs and then maybe i will play them.

As opposed to Tournament venues, I enjoy playing amateur golf with a group that I created from people I used to play golf and cards with. Hackers all. I then setup some sort of game, in this case an alternate shot played at Rislay's new Countryside golf course.
Countryside is probably much nicer than some of the dog tracks my friends and I would generally play. It has beautiful plantings, great fairways and tee boxes (but too many broken tees). The greens texture is perfect, not too bright. The course looks great in all weather, but I usually avoid fog and especially rain since rain crashes my game. The layout is terrific, panorama is excellent.
I do have one small negative. Once you miss the fairway you have light rough, medium rough, and heavy bush plantings. There does not exist any place to recover, it appears that all of the bush is unplayable. As I found out because my cousin was my partner and he put me in the bush a lot.
The only other thing I might ask in the future is a golf course that's not quite as nice, which would be more of a real-world reflection of what we generally play.
Thanks to Rislay for the course. All in all a beautiful golf course design.
