A course, with small rocky mountains as a panorama, not overly difficult, provided that you avoid the bunkers, midway on the sides of wide and undulating fairways, and a few well-placed ones too (along with some water hazards) near the greens. My favorite holes on the front 9 are the nice par-3 3rd, with trees (on the right) and a big elongated pond, diagonally in front of the green, the dogleg right par-5 5th, with bunkers on both sides, midway, and a green, reachable on your second shot (but with a big pond in front to watch for), and the other dogleg right par-5 8th, with an uphill tee shot landing onto an undulating fairway and a long and slightly downhill approach to the green, partially hidden by a couple of small trees (on the right). As for the short (around 220 yards) and straight par-4 7th hole, slightly downhill, you will definitely enjoy it as it listed as a par-4 (!), giving you a golden opportunity for an... eagle ! You will start coming home with the dogleg right par-4 10th hole, along a big lake, midway (on the left) and with an elevated green, before moving later on to the straight par-4 13th, but with a fairway winding to the right forcing you to hit your tee shot there, before firing your approach over a big pond in front of the green. Last, but not least, you should have "fun" with the par-3 17th hole, with its downhill slope and small pond in front of the green (to the left). But, overall, if this par 73 was released recently, it is one that rlslay designed many years ago and it does not have its trademark luxurious planting, making this Faded Links course, less visually attractive as some that he created recently. But it is still well done and enjoyable and you should fare well while hardly using your bucket and spade...
