Sorry rlslay, but I got kicked out by tournament officials after a couple of holes for taking... too much time admiring your gorgeous San Francisco panorama (LOL !). Needless to say, this par 71 is another beauty, especially on the front 9, as you will find out looking down at the spectacular par-4 opening hole, with its fairway hugging a lake (on the right), flowing all the way past the green, and offering a beautiful panoramic view of the San Francisco bay as you get close to it. The next four holes are also all downhill (par-3 2nd, quite narrow with trees on the left and deep rough between the tee box and the green, dogleg left par-4 3rd, par-3 4th, facing the mountains, just like the short and straight par-4 5th, quite tricky with a wide sandy area, starting midway - on the left - and spreading all across the fairway and ending not too far in front of the green). The dogleg left par-4 6th hole, another one of my favorites, is superb with the city facing the tee box (on the right) and the mountains (on the left) as your hit your approach toward the green, and is followed by the wide open dogleg right par-5 7th, where you should be able to putt for an eagle if you can avoid the lake (on the right of the green), and the dogleg right par-4 8th, easier with no water to worry about. As for the wide open dogleg right par-4 9th hole, it is simply gorgeous with its panoramic view of the city as you stand on the tee box, ready to hit your downhill tee shot, and its big lake behind its slightly-elevated green. The back 9 starts with the par-3 10th hole, offering another scenic view of a big lake and the mountains further behind the green, before moving on to the very pretty dogleg par-4 11th, bending around a huge lake (on the left) and requiring a blind approach to reach the green. Then, after two dogleg left par-4 holes (12th, 13th), and the straight and slightly-downhill par-3 14th, the finishing holes, facing the city, are prettier, starting with the downhill dogleg left par-4 15th, with a huge sandy area, starting midway around the corner and ending in front of the green, and continuing with two par-5s (both offering eagle opportunities), the dogleg right 16th hole, downhill and with a lake, right behind the green, and the 17th, with its rollercoaster fairway and blind approach to the green. Last, but not least, on the dogleg right par-4 18th hole, you will be able to shorten the distance to the green by hitting your downhill tee shot over tall trees in the inner corner, in order to leave you with a clear view of the green and its small clubhouse, right behind. Offering spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay, along with nice plantings, this par 71 is a feast for the eyes and if you like this superb layout, then I strongly suggest that you download the San Francisco Bay GC 2017 course, also designed by rlslay as it is another masterpiecce !

This course is a masterpiece! A visual delight that is so realistic, there are pinecones in some of the trees (good golfers may not notice them, but I spent a considerable amount of time in those trees)! Suggestion: if you're planning on playing this course solo, include a computer opponent so you can take in the beauty from multiple vantage points. Thank you, rlslay, for another beauty!
