OK, I previously commented on this course but have to do so again. I never thought I would enjoy fantasy courses but boy, was I wrong! Playing real courses gives me expectation and comparison woes; will it look and play like it did when I played it or watched a tournament on TV? But the fantasy courses remove all that and just let you enjoy the round, so much so that it appears very real. I could easily "see" this course in the hills and mountains of the Carolina's, Virginia or Tennessee. One other thing I did was play the round with computer golfers! You get to see and enjoy so many different views from their perspective. The point here is that this course is so much more beautiful than I first noticed and commented on, and with the playability, sights and sounds, a real treasure to be enjoyed and experienced. I can't wait to play this one with my buddies. The course (and especially the back nine) will blow them away! Thank you again rlslay - a par five hole in one!

A very scenic landscape, with beautiful wooded mountains, superb plantings, and quite challenging with slight elevation changes, undulated greens and plenty of water hazards, especially on the back 9. The straight par-5 opening hole is simply gorgeous with a spectacular view of the mountains as you hit your tee shot, while admiring a stream all along (on the left side of the fairway), before reaching the green on your second shot, and is followed by a nice par-4 2nd, with an approach over a stream flowing in front of the green and behind (on the left). Then, after the pretty and risky par-3 3rd hole, with a tee shot over a wide lake, the next five holes are mostly straight and either slightly downhill or uphill (par-4 4th, par-4 5th, par-3 6th, par-4 7th, par-4 8th), before water comes into play again on the tough dogleg right par-5 9th hole, with a very long and risky second shot if you want it to land onto the green, with a big pond, in front of it. After enjoying a "breakā on the nice dogleg right par-4 10th hole, with no water to worry about, you will have your hands full with the remaining holes, starting with the difficult dogleg left par-5 11th, slightly-downhill all the way, with a blind second shot to get closer to the green, set next to a big lake (but impossible to reach for an eagle), and the scenic par-4 12th, with a huge lake all along (on the right) and a second shot over part of the water to get to the green. Water is again a factor on the nice par-3 13th hole, with a tee shot over a lake, just like on the par-4 14th, with a risky approach to the green, slightly to the right (and set at the tip of the lake), and the pretty dogleg left par-4 15th, with a narrow fairway, midway, framed by trees (on the left) and a lake (on the right), and a slightly-uphill approach to the green, surrounded by plenty of trees. If water does not come into play on the par-4 16th hole, with an uphill approach to an elevated green (set slightly to the right), it is not the case for the two beautiful remaining holes, the scenic par-3 17th, with a tough tee shot toward the green, set next to an elongated lake (on the left), and the pretty dogleg right par-5 18th, with an uphill tee shot landing near a serpentine river (on the left), and a third shot needed to reach the green. As usual, with this Tall Timber GC, rlslay came up with another spectacular course (using only 5 libraries !), where you will not only enjoy the views but also face challenging greens. And thanks to him, you will also be in great shape playing this gem, as this is his 5th course, released since the beginning of the year !
