This Mediterranean Golf and Resort course is another visual treat, offering spectacular views of houses set on top of small wooded mountains, overlooking a huge lake (not to mention plantings second to none), and challenging greens, especially as you get close to the flags. The first two holes set the tone for what you will face with the short and straight par-4 1st, with a narrow tree-lined fairway, and the dogleg right par-4 2nd, with beautiful views of villas, but the best has yet to come with the gorgeous mountain sights on the par-3 3rd hole, and the nice par-4 4th, with a tee shot flying above a lake across the fairway, not too far from the tee box, and a short approach over a big pond, in front of the green. After a few downhill holes (dogleg par-4 5th, par-3 6th, dogleg right par-4 7th), you will walk over to the dogleg left par-5 8th, where you will have to make sur that your tee shot land short of a lake, midway across the fairway, before hitting a very long and risky shot if you want to reach its slightly-elevated green. Things won’t get any easier on the very pretty and tough left dogleg par-4 9th hole, with a short tee shot landing onto a fairway, quite narrow with a lake (on the left) and a bunker, midway (on the right), and an approach over the water to get to the slightly-elevated and undulated green. Two consecutive par-5 holes await you to start the back 9, with the beautiful dogleg right 10th, with a tee shot over a narrow lake, flowing across the fairway and ending, midway (to the right), and a slightly-elevated green (very hard to reach on your second shot), and the dogleg left 11th, with a tee shot flying over a small pond, near the tee box, and a green, this time, reachable on your second shot... The par-4 12th hole, one of my favorites, is beautiful and challenging, especially with its blind and downhill second shot over a small mound, filled with a few gorse bushes and cypresses and a lake, right behind, not too far from the green, but, thankfully, the next two holes (par-3 13th and par-4 14th) are easier, before moving on to the dogleg left par-4 15th, with no bunker around, but with a second shot over a small lake, set in front of the green. Then, after the dogleg right par-5 16th hole, with a wide fairway and an approach over a big lake, in front of the green, you will be tested on the last two holes, with the nice and tricky par-3 17th, back the other way, with a blind tee shot over shrubs and short trees and that lake again, and the magnificent par-4 18th, with its wide open fairway, hugging a lake (on the left) and with a big clubhouse, midway (on the right), facing it. With this par 72, rlslay designed, once again, another beauty, and if you can master those undulated greens and make a few tricky putts, you will enjoy the Dolce Vita !
