If this Aronimink Golf Club 2011 is nicely designed, as usual by the CGX team, with some wide tree-lined fairways and small elevation changes, it is not the most difficult layout you will ever face, even with a more “challenging” back 9. In fact, despite a little more than 100 bunkers spread along this par 70, you should not find too many of them on your way to reaching the (sometimes) undulating and/or slightly-elevated greens. After a straight par-4 opening hole, with a downhill tee shot and an elevated green, the par-3 5th, with three bunkers guarding the green in front, and the nicer par-3 8th, with a downhill tee shot over a big elongated pond in front, not too far from the green (with a nice little bridge on the right) stand out, along with the right dogleg par-5 9th hole, quite long (more than 600 yards), with a downhill tee shot and an elevated green, hard to reach on your second shot. On the back 9, my “favorite” holes are the par-4 10th, with water on the left side on the fairway, ending midway, and a pond to watch for on the left side near the green, and the par-3 14th, with a slightly-elevated green and bunkers on both sides. The left dogleg par-5 16th hole, with a slightly-downhill tee shot over trees and an elevated green, reachable on your second shot (if you can avoid the bunker, in front), and the par-3 17th, with a boomerang-shaped pond in front of the green, are also worth mentioning. But, with just a few exciting holes to gaze at, this par 70 is not one of my favorites even if its par has gone down to 70, compared to the other Aronimink course, designed by ron717 in 2009. Nevetheless, that does not stop me from thanking Steve (nort2) and Gunpower61 for making it available for all of us to enjoy...

The coursename starts with a space, that means that the course will be listed on top of the courses list in TW08 and TWCaddie 08 and cLtool08. So the course is not listed alphabetic under the C, but it will be the first course on top of your courses list.
As you can see there is a A and B version of this course, both versions are the same, only the flag position on the green is different.
Important note: a lot of CGX courses are only playable from the: PRO tees The cgx designers created courses in high tempo, so they only made the pro tees playable. So in TW08 you have to select the PRO tees.
Another note: There are versions of these courses already on Coursedownloads by others, most of whom were designers on the CGX Design Team.
