I have never been a fan of links style courses, but this course is amazing! It's beautiful to look at and a delight to play, with just enough challenges. Lots of pot bunkers, elevation changes and sloped fairways & greens. And oh, the rough is well, rough! This is my first ever fantasy course download, but it makes me wish it was real! The only thing I missed was the nature sounds; the course is eerily quiet. But beautiful course and great job, Micko! Thank you!

A pretty course with a beautiful hotel standing out and with colorful houses to look at, but not too difficult if you can avoid a few pot bunkers, midway on the rollercoaster fairways, and manage to hit a few putts, here and there, on the undulating greens. The front 9 has quite a few nice holes, such as the left dogleg par-4 2nd, with a downhill tee shot and a slightly-elevated green, with more bunkers around (with the hotel and houses around), the right dogleg par-4 6th, slightly uphill all the way, with a few pot bunkers, midway on both sides of the fairway, and with a view of ramparts and old towers on a hilltop (on the far right, beyond the green). On the left dogleg par-5 7th hole, beware of the small creek across the fairway, midway, and the few shrubs in front of the green, partially hiding it, before moving on to the pretty par-3 8th, with a green, on top of a small hill, overlooking the valley (with some beautiful houses on a hilltop, on the far right). The back 9 is more challenging, mainly because of quite a few trees, often hiding the fairways in the corner, as you will find out, for example, on the right dogleg par-4 10th hole, with plenty of trees on the right, hiding a couple of bunkers, midway in the corner, and the right dogleg par-4 11th, with more trees on the right, a small pond on the left, midway, and an elevated green. On the short par-4 12th hole (less than 300 yards), with trees on a hilltop (on the right) along a rollercoaster fairway, you should have an eagle opportunity as its green is reachable from the tee box, unlike on the right dogleg par-5 13th, with trees on the right (again partially hiding bunkers, midway in the corner), where you will have to hit a very long second shot if you want to reach its slightly-elevated green. Two left dogleg par-4 holes follow, with my favorite being the 14th, with a downhill tee shot landing near pot bunkers, midway, offering a spectacular view of the Cormorant hotel (on the left) and the mountains behind. You will complete your round with three nice holes : the par-3 16th requires a blind and slightly-downhill tee shot over small shrubs, midway, to reach the green, whereas, on the left dogleg par-4 17th, you will have to avoid five pot bunkers, midway on both sides of the fairway before hitting a blind and downhill approach to the green. As for the left dogleg par-4 18th hole, you will enjoy it, if you can hit your approach past the three pot bunkers, guarding the green, set in front of the scenic clubhouse, at the bottom of the mountains. Overall, Micko came up with another original design and you should hurry to download this Cormorant Bay in order to breathe some fresh air from Scotland !
