Real course, short but challenging and quite pretty : if you want to have an enjoyable round of golf, then you should download this par 71, another beauty from MSR Golf. With plenty of water hazards (except on a couple of holes), you will have to be careful with some of your tee shots and/or approaches to avoid getting in trouble, as you will find out, for example, on the short left dogleg par-5 1st hole (with elongated lakes on both sides, midway) and the very scenic par-3 2nd, along the road (on the left) and with a tee shot over another elongated lake. On the short left dogleg par-5 3rd hole, your blind tee shot will land near an elongated lake (on the right, midway) before you can get a glimpse of its slightly-elevated green. You will then move on to the nice par-3 4th, with its green, set next to another lake (on the left). Four straight holes follow, with my favorites being the par-4 5th, along a lake (on the left), with its undulating and slanted fairway and uphill approach to the green, and the par-4 8th, with its blind and uphill tee shot landing past an elongated lake (on the left) and with another small elongated lake (with a nice fountain) to the left of the green. You will finish the front 9 with a pretty right dogleg par-4 hole, with a big lake, midway, ending past the green (on the right). On your way back, you will face the scenic par-3 11th hole, along the lake (on the right), and enjoy the par-4 13th, with two small lakes, left and right, connected midway by a little stream, and a tree-lined fairway, hiding the view of the green from the tee box. Another noteworthy hole is the straight par-5 14th, quite tricky where you will have to make sure to hit your tee shot past a small lake and quite a few bushes (further in front, midway), in order to land onto a small plateau, leaving you with a very long second shot if you want to reach the green, with another elongated lake (and two fountains on the right). Unlike the 14th, the straight par-5 17th hole should provide you with an eagle opportunity if you can avoid landing into one of the two connected lakes behind the elevated green, before finishing with the short but very challenging par-4 18th, where you will need to hit a slightly-uphill tee shot above a wide lake, in order to land onto a narrow fairway, near the downhill green. With nice plantings and small elevation changes, this Plantation Bay Prestwick course is fun to play and if you can manage to break par on all the par-5 holes, you should finish with a nice scorecard and look forward to playing more of MSR Golf’s upcoming designs...
P.S. Just for your information, the wooden walkway connecting the lakes on the 17th is... floating a little bit in the air on one side !

Always get excited when I see a new course, a real course, from MSR. And this is just another example of a wonderful golf experience. Plays real, challenges on many of the holes, and a beautiful course to look at as you play. Thanks for all your effort, the result is truly appreciated.

This is a beautiful, stunning course! It has a lot of the typical hazards like trees, water, sand and elevation challenges, but what really sets this course apart is the atmosphere! The sounds are perfect and vary depending on where you are on the course. I played this on the calm setting and it was a challenge, so I look forward to playing it under windier conditions. Though I'm fairly new to Tiger Woods 2008, I have been enjoying a lot of the real courses put together by the artists on this website. This ranks as one of my top favorites! Thank you, Mike! It is a masterpiece.
