Hey, Bobby, thanks for a great links course! My favorite style, even if it does have 297 pot bunkers in the fairways! Thought 13 was a great example, I'll do most anything to avoid a pot bunker but you made it reaaaaaly hard there! Also loved, what, 16? where you did everything but post signs to sucker us poor golfers into trying to drive that green! HA! Thanks much, and with humble apologies I'll admit to a -2 score...with a couple of mulligans!

Another nice links course, with its usual amount of pot bunkers, small mounds and deep rough that will keep you on your toes, especially on your approaches to the (often) small and undulating greens. This par 70 starts with a nice par-5 opening hole, with a small rocky wall midway, over which you will have to hit your second shot to reach the green, before moving later on to the short and straight par-4 3rd where, with pot bunkers right in front of the green, you will have to think twice before hitting your tee shot if you want to reach it. On the scenic par-4 4th hole, along the ocean (on the right), you will need to hit a big tee shot in order to land past the downhill slope, halfway, before making sure to avoid a couple of pot bunkers in front of the green and a little... puddle behind. Then, after the left dogleg par-4 5th hole, and its blind approach toward the green (with more pot bunkers behind), you will face another short and straight par-4, the 6th hole, with a narrow elongated green, surrounded on both sides by small mounds filled with deep rough, before heading to the right dogleg par-4 7th, uphill all the way, with a tee shot landing onto a plateau, and a blind second shot toward the green. You will finish the front 9 with the downhill par-3 8th, facing the ocean, and the right dogleg par-4 9th, with an uphill tee shot landing near a pot bunker and a mound (set in the middle of the fairway) and a downhill approach, along nice homes next to a road (on the left), in the direction of the green (with, unfortunately, a few facades partially darkened mysteriously...). The back 9 starts with the uphill par-3 10th hole, and continues with the long right dogleg par-5 11th, with a downhill tee shot landing onto a heavily-slanted fairway, and an elevated green, impossible to reach on your second shot, and with slopes on both sides. The par-3 12th hole is quite pretty, with a downhill slope facing the ocean and a green, with plenty of fans on both sides, and is followed by another long par-5 hole, the right dogleg 13th, with a fairway hugging the ocean (on the left), pot bunkers to watch out in the middle of the fairway and a green, hard to reach again on your second shot. But the toughest hole on this course is probably the par-3 14th, with its narrow green real close to the ocean (on the left) and with pot bunkers right in front... The last four holes are par-4s, starting with the right dogleg 15th, with an uphill tee shot landing onto a plateau and a blind and downhill second shot toward the green (with small mounds and a couple of pot bunkers to watch for), and the downhill 16th, with more pot bunkers in the middle of the fairway and another narrow green to reach. As for the short 17th hole, you will have to think twice if you want to reach the green from the tee, as a big mound, filled with deep rough, "sits" right in front of the narrow green, with a couple of pot bunkers behind (next to a small rocky wall, seen on the 1st hole), before coming back to the starting point with the straight 18th, along nice homes on a hilltop (on the right) and a green, set right in front of that castle (seen on the above picture). With nice homes all along the course and a pretty rocky coast to gaze at, this par 70 may look easy, at first, but long par-5 holes and a few short par-4 risk/reward holes (with quite a few pot bunkers near and around the greens) will make you think otherwise, thanks to Bobby Bolin's creativity !
