This Golf Club at Devils Tower 2023 course may be a revised version but my comments will not change since its first release in 2010 : this par 72 is very scenic, with its beautiful valley and that nice Devils Tower, and is well designed with its elevation work, sloped and undulating fairways, water hazards and tricky greens.
After the left dogleg par-5 1st hole, I like the pretty par-3 2nd, straight with its narrow fairway and view of the Devils Tower (on the left, beyond the green), and the two left dogleg holes, the par-4 3rd, with its sloped fairway, and the par-5 4th, with a small lake in the corner, and a few trees around.
The two par-3 holes, the 5th, with a tee shot over a big pond, and the 7th, with a blind and uphill tee shot toward the green are nice too, just like the par-4 9th, down and up, with another beautiful view of the valley and the Devils Tower.
The back 9 starts with the picturesque right dogleg par-4 10th hole, with a downhill tee shot landing onto a narrow and sloped fairway (with a road along on the far right) and a slightly-uphill approach to the sloped and undulating green
Then, after the par-4 11th hole, with its downhill tee shot and deep rough on both sides of the fairway, and an uphill second shot to the green, and the nice par-3 12th, with a blind tee shot over deep rough to reach the green, you will move on to the right dogleg par-5 13th hole, along a road on the left, with a wide fairway and a steep slope on the right side of the green.
The final stretch is pretty and quite challenging : on the right dogleg par-5 15th hole, you will need to hit a steep and blind tee shot before firing your long second shot toward the green (with a big lake on the right), whereas on the par-3 16th, you will need to hit your tee shot over a wide lake to reach its sloped green, before finishing with the gorgeous par-4 18th hole, with a steeply-downhill and blind tee shot, and a small pond to the right of the green.
Needless to say, this updated version is delightful to watch and play and I am glad that MSR Golf is still around, designing all these great courses for all of us to enjoy !
