I enjoyed the course, and wanted to thank the designer for bringing it to life for us. I'd like to play the real course, but of course wouldn't score as well! Thanks for your efforts, well done.

Thank you all for the comments! @Holein1: I agree with you, the 6th hole, par 5, is the most interesting. In the real world, hole 7 (par 3) is also very scenic, with the pond in front, the teeshot between the trees and a mountain in the background (maybe I didn't recreate it so well). The panorama is quite similar to the real one, with the difference however that it should be rotated, with the highest mountains facing north, northwest.

As mentioned by the designer, Percorso Mergozzo is a 9-hole real course, which is played twice from different tees (pro and back). Rather easy and short (with a few greens reachable with your driver), you will have some eagle opportunities and you should finish with a low score if you can avoid a couple of small water hazards and a few well-placed trees and bunkers near the greens. My favorite hole, besides the par-3 2nd, with floodlights near the tee box and the green, and the par-4 4th, a right dogleg with a big pond in front of the green (to the right), is the par-5 6th, a sharp dogleg to the left, with a very tough second shot over trees and a serpentine pond, hiding the green. Overall, with its nice small snow-capped mountains to gaze at, this par 68 is a very pleasant surprise, especially for a first-time designing experience and is worth flying to Italy to discover it !

Very well done especially for a first design. as Bobby said its not the hardest or longest but it has character and hopefully there are many more to come.

It was a pleasure to test this course. This is an awesome first effort. It is definitely not a difficult or long course, but the design work is very well done.
