Another great scenic course from Micko with a nice mountainous panorama, beautiful plantings, and quite challenging with some narrow fairways (especially as you tee off), well-placed wide bunkers and plenty of water hazards. This par 72 starts with two par-5 holes, with the right dogleg 2nd, being quite spectacular with its downhill tee shot and its very long approach over a small pond, right in front of the green. I also like the straight par-4 3rd hole and its narrow fairway, with two big elongated bunkers on both sides, halfway, and an uphill approach to the green, and the pretty right dogleg par-4 5th, with an elongated lake on the right, midway, and nice flowers around the green. Then, after the right dogleg par-4 7th hole, where you will need to hit a precise tee shot through a narrow gap between trees and a long approach to reach the green (surrounded by three big bunkers), you will move on to my favorite hole, the very scenic (and long) par-3 9th, with a few palm trees lined up around the edge of a big lake set in front of the green, surrounded by beautiful villas, tennis courts and the clubhouse. You will start the back 9 with two pretty holes, the left dogleg par-4 10th, along a big serpentine creek crossing the fairway, halfway, and over which you will have to hit your approach to reach the green (hidden by trees on the left), and the par-3 11th hole, next to a wide elongated lake on the right. A tricky hole then awaits you on the short right dogleg par-4 13th, with a blind tee shot landing downward near some wide bunkers (with a few more next to the green), before heading for the picturesque par-3 14th, and its big E-shaped bunker in front of the green. Two dogleg holes follow : the par-5 15th bends to the left, after teeing off through a very narrow tree-lined fairway, whereas the par-4 16th curves to the right, after a small boomerang-shaped lake partially splits the fairway, midway. You will finish with two tee shots through narrow fairways, with the right dogleg par-5 17th hole and its uphill approach to an elevated green, and the gorgeous right dogleg par-4 18th, where you will have to hit a very accurate second shot over a big creek, set in front of the green, before heading for the outdoor tables near the clubhouse for a well-deserved drink... and a toast in honor of Micko's great design !
