As usual, I just finished playing the B version to compare the two and, for once, I found this one, a tad easier. But my opinion still stands as this par 71 is not the most thrilling course you will ever play, with its (mostly) wide fairways (especially on the front 9), but the back 9 is more challenging with a few elevation changes, water hazards near the greens and some sharp dogleg holes. On the front 9, my favorite holes are the scenic par-3 3rd, with its big half-moon-shaped pond in front (and to the right), the left dogleg par-4 7th, with its undulating fairway downhill all the way to the undulating green, and the short dogleg par-4 9th hole, with three big deep bunkers, two-thirds of the way (slightly left), and a couple of more bunkers around the green. Coming back, I like the par-5 12th hole, with a long and delicate approach to the green, with a small serpentine creek in front (and to the left), the par-3 14th, with a creek flowing diagonally in front of the green, and the last two sharp dogleg holes, the par-4 17th, uphill all the way and bending to the right, with a few trees in the corner, an undulating fairway and a sharply-elevated green, and the par-4 18th, to the left, with its tee shot over trees in the corner and bunkers all across the fairway, not too far from the elevated green. Despite a couple of trees planted on the paths, this Plainfield Country Club plays smoothly and you should finish with a nice scorecard and that's the plain... truth, no matter which version you decide to play and/or keep !

As you can see there is a A and B version of this course, both versions are the same, only the flag position on the green is different. Important note: a lot of CGX courses are only playable from the: PRO tees The cgx designers created courses in high tempo, so they only made the pro tees playable. So in TW08 you have to select the PRO tees.
