A pleasant course, with small mountains as a panorama, a few trees along some wide fairways, slight elevation changes and a couple of tricky greens, with water hazards and well-placed bunkers to watch for. Holes worth mentioning are the straight par-4 2nd, with its flag, very close to the elongated lake on the left, the short (less than 330 yards) par-4 3rd, with tall trees, halfway on the left corner, making it hard to reach the slightly-elevated green from the tee box (especially with a big bunker in front), and the right dogleg par-4 5th hole, with a tiny creek winding its way all along the fairway on the right, before crossing it, two-thirds of the way, and ending on the left, not too far from the elevated green (with a bunker in front). I also like the cute par-3 6th hole, with a serpentine L-shaped creek starting from across the fairway, midway, and running past the green on the left, the left dogleg par-4 7th, with big trees to the left of the tee box, five bunkers in the corner, halfway, and a small creek running all along (and past) the green (on the right), and the long (almost 270 yards) par-3 8th hole. The back 9 is more challenging, starting with the left dogleg par-5 11th hole, with a very long and blind approach toward the green (impossible to reach on your second shot), followed by the par-3 12th, with a tee shot over an inverted S-shaped lake, and the par-4 13th, with a slightly-downhill tee shot and a slightly-uphill approach over a small creek, crossing in front of the green. Then, after the left dogleg par-4 14th hole, with an uphill tee shot and a second shot downhill to the green, with a serpentine creek on the left, you will reach the pretty par-3 15th, with a small creek running all along on the left and past the downhill green, with three small bunkers on the left and a bigger one on the right. The last three holes are nice too : the par-4 16th is a right dogleg, with a serpentine creek on the right crossing the slanted fairway midway and a second shot over it to reach the green, and is followed by my favorite hole, the beautiful and risky par-5 17th, with bunkers splitting the fairway across twice, midway (within a few yards), and with a blind and downhill second (or third) shot toward the island green. As for the par-4 18th hole, after hitting your tee shot over a wide lake (mostly on the left), you will finish with a steeply-uphill approach toward the undulating green, and find out, maybe, that life is just like a bowl of... cherries, if you can avoid the few water hazards, score a couple of birdies on the long par-3 holes and really concentrate on the last four-hole finishing stretch !
