Ok, thank you both. One thing I noticed when creating a golfer is that the .aia file does not see it anywhere, what is this supposed to be? |

Yes Quote Gunpower61 Note: It is possibble you won t have the .aia file after you created your player, then you can upload it without the .aia file. , I think that file builds in the game through the players achievments / experience
BTW you can still play on-line with this game although the main EA server closed www.gamerenger.com is a free bronze membership , there is Tunggle and Hamachi
you can join one of the clubs listed of the bottom left home page video of some feature / create new player https://youtu.be/F2rIrzra7IE |

Thanks once again. I have another question: some players have the .dds file and others do not, do I need to create it? I create one and I do not know if it will be useful to include it. |

All most sure the .dds file is the sort of small logo picture of the golfer , on this screen shot I held the cursor over Arnold Palmer , it is that, the game makes that logo picture you do not have to make it.
Try and install Arnold Palmer this is an EA made player { cannot be edited or changed } and it`s quite good as Arny has animations different to other EA made players , the same sort of habits Arny had after he had Teed off , sort of nods his head to the right.
I suppose it also has to be said in the utilities section / custom golfers, the first 3 or 4 pages contain downloads of custom golfers that are just ? no more than a PLR. file and probably bare no resemblence to the named golfer ,I assume that from the file size there are also updated CPU players which I think score better in tournament or when you play against them.
On the next post , I tried to make Steve Mcqueen [ film star ] , best I could do. |

Hello, argon. Would you please explain how you installed EA made Arnold Palmer to TW08? He was the strongest player in 06, and I loved playing with him as one of the opponent, and have been missing him in 08. |

You can install him off the download links here, the instruction are in the download for Arny, just the dds file folder that is a bit awckard to find. I`am not sure about Arny playing against you in TW 2008, the reason is if you use him as your player he does not quite hit the ball as far on expert level { not tried on other levels }, this may be because you cannot change his Clubs / irons / driver ect: and you cannot change the ball,Most players use the Bridgestone ? B330 s I think for expert .
Arny as a CPU player in TW 2006 , I do not know, but I will set a video and play against him , doing this I will need to set a LAN game up because if I set a normal Custom game Seve hits it about 320 yds with the Driver 12 degree loft { without a Power shot }:)
Arny`s animations are just like him and this has to be an EA created player. Links for down load , include Severiano Ballesteros I made, he`s got 100% Attributes and a few Million $`s.

Thanks a lot, argon. I usually play skins against computer players. Arny was a very tough opponent in 06. The dds file is really well done. If only he had his old good gear... |

Hello everyone:
I already have the custom golfer drawn for TW2008, but I would like to know the exact steps to upload it but I only see the option of upload courses, not players. Thank you. |

Hello, on top of the site you will see: Utilities Once you clicked Utilities, at right side ( just below shoutbox ), you will see: Add a File ( click it ) On next popup screen you have to add: Designers name...Utility name...Choose Game....and give small description Then click: Next step.....and you will have option to upload the file Note: Be sure it is a zipfile Once uploaded you will have to wait until i approved it. Once i approved it you will see it on the website. |

Greetings all, I'm Robert A. Morin, some of you MIGHT remember me as 8IronBob waaay back in the day, and wow...do I ever miss the Tiger Woods PGA Tour scene from around a decade ago or so. Glad to be back from a huge hiatus, but. Right now, it seems that besides my modern rig with Windows 10 and a chock full of hardware that would be too much for any TW2kx game to run on, I did, however, invest in an old vintage rig that CAN play from TW2002 to about TW2005, I suppose? So, while that old rig might not support modern internet, it will certainly be enough rig to get back in the course design gig.
The modern PC that I'm on now is:
Intel i7-4790K @ 4.4GHz 32GB DDR3-2400 Maximus VII Hero Z97 eVGA SuperClocked GTX 980 512GB Samsung 850 PRO 1TB Samsung 850 EVO Windows 10 Pro x64 Corsair HX620W
The vintage Tiger Woods PC is as follows
Dell OptiPlex GX110 w/ Pentium III 800MHz Windows 98 SE (yeah, tried WinXP SP3 on there, but far too sluggish, and too much overhead to really get anything done in) PNY Verto FX 5200 256MB 512 MB PC-100 RAM 120GB HDD Sound Blaster 16 PCI
All in all, as much as I *wish* that any TW2kx game would run on my modern rig, seems that's why I wound up getting the old Dell Oppy to play and use them. I believe it can play up to TW2005 without trouble. Can't make guarantees that a PC that old can connect to the web in the same way this can. We shall see.
It's great to be back on the scene, and certainly looking forward to bringing back old memories. Before I was in the Tiger Woods franchise, I've been pretty good about the old Microsoft Golf franchise, as well as with the Links franchise (until Microsoft killed Links, because of their stupid buyout of Access). |

Hello Robert, welcome back. Not sure it will work on the older TW games, but below is some help how to get TW08 to run on a Win10 system:
http://www.coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=10630&forum=11
( Note: For some Win10 users the workaround above is working, for some it is not working )

Ah, yes, I did see that one, but wasn't sure if there were limits on hardware with Windows 10 even with these. Certainly have TW2008 on its way from eBay knowing that. Although I thought I remember a TW2012 Masters game for PC, but that would certainly be a rarity to find, and probably pricey. I certainly do look forward to TW2006 - 2008 on my modern PC, however. |

Hello, the TW2012 Masters game for PC was an expansion pack for online play. But TW2012 online server was closed years ago, so it is no use to look for the TW2012 masters. Best option is to go for TW08. |

Sounds good... As a measure, I did make some upgrades to the Dell OptiPlex, due to older TW games not seeing more than 128MB GPUs, well, kinda a sidegrade, but, definitely doable.
128GB CF to IDE for booting Windows 98SE, 120GB HDD for storage (which should definitely get rid of that studder, and I'm sure it could even comfortably upgrade to Windows XP again without the lag). The GPU in there is a GeForce FX5500 128MB from the FX5200 256MB...and since it's a DVI-based card instead of a VGA-based one, it allows for more modern LED monitors to be used on it. Should be a sweet deal. :) |

I'm slappy Gilmore
I own Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06.
It took me a very long time to figure out how to DOWNLOAD courses for TW PGA 06. Now that I have finally figured out the DOWNLOADING part........I have not yet figured out how to INSTALL these courses that I have downloaded. I have tried everything to no avail. Why is it so complicated to download and install courses for TW PGA Tour? |
