I seriously would not worry. Again, when you guys see the full blown strategy, your fears and apprehension should turn to anxiety about getting to play the new game and all of its features....If EA delivers what I saw in February, there is not a sole here who should be unhappy with TW Online except for the few who play offline only. I really can't wait til EA reveals more of what they are up to....they are dead serious about TW for PC....

And I, Tim, would like to thank you for your efforts and all the other site admins..., without places such as this site, this game would not have had the following that it does. Keep up the good work, AND GIVE ME SOME BETA TESTING POR FAVOR! LOL, just kidding, sorta. Peace, Don

Hi Tim, I try not to be overly argumentative, but have some questions.
Would you kindly answer them?

1.Why EA doesn't inform the entire strategy?
If it's really a jaw-dropping fabulous scheme, there's no need to hide?

2.Why EA informed a little bit of their scheme?
As a result, people got anxious and you moderator became very busy.
If I were the CEO of EA, I would inform of the game 3 days before release. LOL

3.This is someone on the site mailed me and said.
Do you REALLY know the entire scheme?
All you do is repeat the infomation after EA already informed,
and always praise them but never criticize, and just say "Wait and See".
I don't know if you know the entire scheme, but this attitude is same as
you don't know anything. Or are you enjoying moderating hungry people?

This kind of aggravation that EA is causing only increases faithless people against EA, don't you think?

The simple question to me, has not yet been really answered yet. Is there a TW 2010 on PC? Yes or no? Everyone says different things.

the complicated answer is: there is an upcoming TW Online video game, browser based
there is NOT a dvd or downloadable version

Really? It seems that is exactly what you are doing....

It is obvious you aren't real familiar with how software companies market their products. This is how EA has marketed their games for years by revealing bits and pieces leading up to release of the product.

I have never seen ANY game information released just 3 days before launch. Software companies like to have a build up of information that ends right before release of the product. Just like EA did this year with the TW10 Blogs for the console versions.

Not sure who emailed you and I am not sure why they asked if you know the entire strategy. I repeat information because I AM UNDER A LEGALLY BINDING NDA AGREEMENT, THEREFORE I CANNOT REVEAL ANYTHING THAT HAS NOT BEEN REVEALED PUBLICLY. Do you understand this? And it is also apparent that you have not been here very long as I have openly criticized EA here and in other forums when they deserve criticism such as not even offering a patch for TW08. I am aware of the vast majority of the strategy as it was revealed to me in February at Tiburon Studios during TW10 Community Day. If you want to assume I know nothing, that is fine and I will simply stop wasting my time responding to you.

There are a handful out of HUNDREDS of people who have responded here and in other forums that might fit in the category you describe above. Most are happy that EA is getting back in the TW PC business and most have stated they will be patient and wait for more news to come. I believe they will be rewarded in the end when EA finally releases their full strategy for TW Online. If that is not good enough for you, I suggest you forget about TW Online and play TW08 and be done with it. I would much rather respond to users who can discuss the information that is available rationally without questioning the messenger's integrity as you have done here repeatedly. It gets old and I really don't have time for it. The other users deserve better than reading post after post of you badgering me and questioning my integrity and my sources. Sorry to be harsh, but enough is enough.

Tim, thanks for kind answers to the questions.
But I've never seen a man who gets hot with some exchange of comments.
I understand you are busy and tired, but got shocked a bit.

Someone who sent me a mail advised me to stay off the boards, I will do so.
And there was one more thing he/she had written, but I forgot to mention in the last comment. This is it.

>It doesnt sound good since EA has abondened sports with Madden 08.
>The piracy issue they raise is bulls**t.
>They put out other games still, why hasnt the piracy issue been raised there?

Good Night

The thing that worries me about this article is the first screenshot that says "free to play during beta testing".
Does this mean that we will be charged to download the game, pay to play online and be charged for extra courses? Or am I jumping to the wrong conclusions?

Kieronbwfc,

All I can say at this point is there will be nothing to download other than a small streaming application. The pay and course strategies have yet to be released. Don't jump to any conclusions at this point as there simply is not enough information available to make any judgments about the game or its features at this time.

So because I take exception to the grilling you are directing at me, I am getting hot? You obviously dont know me very well. No shock at all here and I am not at all hot.

So someone you wont name sends you an email and he is automatically more credible than I am about TW Online? Sounds like whomever sent you the email doesnt look at the facts regarding the state of the PC gaming industry. Facts are facts. Piracy IS an issue for every PC developer whether users want to accept that or not. Piracy is not the ONLY issue driving EA to this strategy, but it IS a factor. If TW Online becomes a success for EA, I look for them to adopt similar strategies to TWO for ALL of their PC games in some form or fashion.

I for one cant read a single post that EAcom Golf Tim writes without seeing a big brown ring around his nose. I mean seriously. If you look at the ea forum, or Peters blog. Tim responds to every neg comment about the on line version. I think he works in the ea public relations office or something. If you think for one minute that ea will make custom courses available for the on line version. Think about the console versions first. I have the xbox 360, wii, and ps3. Custom courses are sold by ea for almost $10. per course. IMO, none of the stock courses can compare to some of the customs available here. Frankly, I own 99-08 PC and 07-10 console. This new on line experience will run most of the hardcore tw players away. I think eas gamble will be if they can draw a new crowd into the mix. Its funny - When you read the ea forum, you dont get the same image that Peter and the rest of ea gives you....

messages in the ea forum based on version. (;ps2) 641 topics 3,149 messages
(;ps3) 1,629 topics 9,269 messages
(;xbox360) 1,954 topics 10,603 messages
(;wii) 1,434 topics 7,025 messages
(;Handheld) 59 topics 153 messages
(;PC) 1,822 topics 12,867 messages

153 messages for Handheld ...... How many units did they sell???? and where is the market profitabity in that. Yet they supported another group of Handhelds.

This leaves me amazed that an on line version is all ea can come up with. You would think that a better managment of the game for online would resolve most issues. Put in Punkbuster for gods sake. My thought would be fire Peter..... along with his Dev staff. & recruit from the people that really know what this game is about, the people that play it... I for one think cdl and twc would be 2 prime recruitment sources. By the way... I just got the Wii motion plus version yesterday. Its awesome compared to the three previous years, and makes the wii version my 2nd fav, next to the PC.

This is absolutely unbelievable... Tim has never lied to us in the past, why would he start now? Your first post on this forum is to bash the person most closely related to EA Sports? Could we all please wait until the NDA is lifted to start jumping to conclusions?

This happens every year...

Edited because a womans prerogative is and always has been to change her mind on multiple occasion, and take back what she said.

Well Phantom, if you take away the extremely rude comment about our very good friend Tim and the cheap shots to Bobby, what is left to your comments?

Nothing, just speculation, and since you DONT KNOW, you would do yourself better, to leave out the nasty comments and the speculation!

For only 2 posts, I dont think you will make it to 550 or so.

Thank you.
Axe..
