Have you considered using the cls to put that moss on the pond. You could get a more blended effect, instead of having the hard edge of a weed texture in the middle of the water. I did it on both Atlantica and PGA National. |

After all this work getting back into the structure business, I just had to post a pic of the new lodge which you see from the ninth back tee (not my new pro tee to make the hole longer). The deer are even hanging around, lol. Now please do not ask me to build any more structures for a long time, boy what a fiasco that is. The 2002 Library Creator just does not want to create structures you can actually use on a course. You have to keep doing it and hope to get lucky that one time will actually work. That is what Quietly told me and that is what I found to be true.

LMAO Hyno, it is gone, but that chased the deer away. I think he must have been scared away by that bright red aura of authority, LOL. |

Tiger when playing and testing this course, he may need a buddy to play with and why not John Daly with his Loudmouth outfits.

Oh, man, that might be the loudest, ugliest outfit ever! I might need to dirty my glasses or take them off to have to look at that for 18 holes, LOL.
Here is my go at the lake moss redo. I think this will have to be good enough or I will never get this thing done. Lots of CLS struggles lately, but I am getting stuff worked out. There will be some new surprises thanks to the path set by Quietly. I am having trouble getting the sounds to actually play in the game now, but I will get through it eventually. Seems like I added sounds to the pano library in the past, maybe that is the next try. Getting there slowly.

I finished the signature 4th hole. 80 foot downhill par 4. Should be a birdie hole if you can keep your drive out of the hazards. Behind is the Columbia River between Oregon and Washington, USA.

Only three holes left to detail out now. Plus a bunch of other stuff that takes forever. Have almost lost this thing a few times, but backups and redos help keep it going.
Finally ready to post a picture of the 12th hole that has those waterlilies and cattails. A beauty of a hole that remains as the 4th hole on the new "Gorge Nine" course they have. Thank goodness for that. Oh, the geese love to hang out here so watch your step down near the lake, LOL.

Expert, very dry test on #17. Tiger has got himself onto the most difficult putt on the course. He aims at least 20 foot left, taps it gently, and still the putt goes right of the hole, but manages to stay on the green.
This course will bring many challenges. You will have to shape your shots on some holes if you want to shoot low. And if the unplayable lies do not get you, the greens will. At least that is the fantasy of the designer.
Getting more confident on getting this ready for testing soon. I am testing a lot, so I probably just need one or two people to make sure I did not miss something (those darn creases, lol).

I have uploaded the course now, so do enjoy when it is ready. I managed to sneak in some more CLS stuff. The course should be a bear at the Advanced and Expert level, especially with wind, which we do get here in the Columbia Gorge. Four different pins per hole. You will not be able to curve your shots well enough on Novice level. My hope is that you will want to play it more than once, as I am sure you will not notice everything. I am not giving the surprises away, haha. |
