| Neither the PGAEdit.gcf or the PGAUser.gcf appeared in my newly created players folder. Copying and pasting the two gcf files did not work. I just started all over again using the CE and finally got it to work. I had never played a custom created season in TW08, only in earlier versions. I found no place in season play where one can introduce other computer players into the custom season. I assume you have to go through the season playing as a one-some is that right? I also so nowhere to Save a partially completed round in the custom season. That just does not seem right to me. The Custom Season that I created was in accordance with the current 2017 Schedule. I would like to create the 2017 European Tour Schedule as well. My question is this.Can one create another schedule in the CE if one deletes the existing schedule and replaces it with a new one before the original season that now exists within the CE is played. I guess my question is, once you create a custom season within the CE and you save it, where is the folder of that saved season located? Is it possible to create an additional season(s)and back them up for future use? Again, thank you very much for all the help you have provided I really appreciate it. |

just create a backup of PGAEdit.gcf, that's the custom season file editable by the CE. |

Yes Jurgie, i think you can only play alone on the PGA Tour, but after each hole you will see your position on the leaderboard.
You can see a lot of other players on the leaderboard, but you will never see them play.
When you stop playing there is automatic save, so the next time you will start from the point you stopped playing. |

Without me fooling up my current career, are you able to make tournaments only 2 rounds or do they all have to be 4.
Did I read somewhere that majors have to 4.

Hello Shorty, i don t remember i read somewhere the majors has to be four rounds, i think you can do 2 rounds, but i am not sure.
But i remember i read you can only have 4 major events in the tournament file, maybe that is what you read before:

Hiya brierely, not sure why it is not working, are you running the program as administrator ?
First of all, right click on CEditor-Helper08.exe and choose: Properties....compatibility....and on bottom check box: Run as administrator.....and hit: Apply

Hello all,
I have successfully created a career file with a newly created player however the game crashes at the end of each round. It does however record the round and I can move on to the next one but if I end the tournament tied for a playoff then it crashes and no playoff, tournament stats or prize money is recorded. Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm running windows 10 and playing TW08 in windows XP compatibility mode with admin rights.

In the mnth window.. 1-12 is assumed for 1 season
Can you go more? if so, how? 1-? If I make 1 with 2 seasons 1-24? mnths

| You can program a schedule for one season. The game restarts that schedule after completion of the last event of the first season. |

Is it just me or the app will not allow any more than 1 event for the fist mnth..
went ahead and tried exporting with 6 events 2 mnth
The first event was grayed out and it was showing 4 events in the 1st mnth jan. So I changed it to 2 and its was still grayed out. Ten 1 for the 1st mnth and it worked ok but 6 events spanned into the 3rd mnth...
So now that's 2 less events.. It will probly work out, I'm sure there will be at least 2 courses not found..

I downloaded a pga tour 25/ much easier ;) put it in to edit/make sure everything was how I want it
one event had different types/alt games...
The alternant game types in the app is grayed out/unacceptable
How can I change this? |

You mean one event is set to alternate shot ?
That is weird for alternate shot you have to play with a partner. |

Actually it has 4 different game types in the last event
Ryder Cup... Mostly want to know how to do that and change it and how did he get 40 events in

You are allowed 3 tournaments per month and 4 total Major tournaments in the editor if i remember correct.
I never tried it but: 3 x 12 months = 36 + 4 total Major tournaments = 40 total
And the last event indeed is ryder cup (team event ) in his calendar, not sure how that works.

Options 1-4, which are enabled when you select the 'Major' option in the 'Format' section, are not related to rounds. Rounds are added by clicking the 'Add' button. Clicking on the button will generate a random round and double clicking on it will allow you to set it manually. Options 1-4 refer to the 4 majors in professional golf: Masters, PGA Championship, US Open, Open Championship. I'm not quite sure what this is for, but I have a theory. In the installation folder of the game (mine is 'C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\DataImages\IntroCareer\Trophy') there are the files related to the trophies of the majors (which appear in the 'Trophy Lounge' of TW08 PGA Tour Career when you win them). These files are named 'Major_1_XXX', 'Major_2_XXX', 'Major_3_XXX' and 'Major_4_XXX'. My theory is that this option is used to associate a trophy with each major. It's just a theory, though, and I'm not sure this is the case.

As for the eligibility requirements for tournaments, they are listed in the 'Cuts & Eligibility' section. The options available are those listed there. The 'Top XX in a previous PGA Tour event' options work quite well in the tournament settings and when I've used them I've never had any problems. They are a good alternative for simulating the FedEx Cup playoffs, as it is not possible to select the Top 30, 50 or 70 in the FedEx Cup. However, I have never tried the 'Top XX in a previous Major' options. In fact, this year, as I had an extra tournament on the calendar, I thought I would complete it by 'restoring' the old 'PGA Grand Slam of Golf', which was played until 2014. I configured it as 'Winner of a previous Major', obviously. And the thing is, the calendar didn't work in the game, it configured all the tournaments as Stableford and the year that came up was 4041 or something like that. I was going crazy trying to figure out why the calendar wasn't working and in the end it must have been that option because when I deleted that tournament the calendar worked perfectly. So my recommendation is to use the 'previous PGA Tour event' options for eligibility. The 'Winner of a previous PGA Tour Event' option also works well. One year I set up the Tournament of Champions at the end of the year (instead of the beginning) to be played by all the winners of the season and it worked perfectly.

About the number of tournaments. The game allows a calendar with a maximum of 41 events in total. The maximum number of events allowed per month is as follows
- January: 4 events
- February: 3 events
- March: 4 events
- April: 4 events
- May: 4 events
- June: 4 events
- July: 4 events
- August: 4 events
- September: 3 events
- October: 3 events
- November: 3 events
- December: 1 event
The month is set numerically in the ''Format'' section: 1 = January, ..., 12 = December. If you try to add more events in a month, you will sometimes be told that this is not possible because the maximum number of events per month has been set.
The events appear in the calendar in the same order as in the Career Editor 06 schedule.
If you want to reorder them, so that you don''t have to remove the tournament and recreate it (as you can''t move them directly), what I do is to use month 12 (December) as a ''wildcard''. Career Editor 06 allows you to add 3 or 4 events to month 12, but if you leave it as it is, only one event will appear in the game. So if I want to reorder the tournaments of a month, I add all the tournaments of that month except the first one, month 12. Then I go to the second tournament of the month, open it and configure it, changing the month from 12 to the one that corresponds to it, and it will be placed in the order that actually corresponds to it. And so on.
An important point: before configuring or reconfiguring a calendar or a tournament, you must have installed all the corresponding courses, because when you configure a round and select a course, only the courses you have installed will appear in the list. If any of them are not installed, the first one in the list, in alphabetical order, will be selected by default. |

Well that shed the light on a few things thanks a bunch..
I'll make it easy on myself by use your 2025 as a template
BTW the game uses cpu as a plyer when playing anything that requires 2 or more Rite? |
