I personally would like to see Titleist 913 series, AP series and FJ clothing as well as some Scotty Cameron putters. Very nice work on the Puma collection

Thanks for questioning my question. The face that I would love to see would be Thornbjorn (Thunder Bear) Olesen. You don't have to go all out on the Nike equipment due to most of it is on the game itself.

Thanks for doing Texmods for this game, very disappointed that no one hasn't attempted into doing them until now. I've have tried in the past to do my own but have failed due to my lack of artistic abilty.

Can't view the docx file. Anyway already did like 100 tour players they were uploaded to this site, but now the files are missing. Here is the stock Hogan file, it will work in any game.

From my testing this is what I found thus far.

#1 The only way to get the new textures to work, is every time you load up the game, you must run the game through tex mods and select the .tpf file you wish to use.

(;note) what I am doing is a massive mod for the 2007 game for my custom players, will only use 1 mod instead of like 50 little mods.

#2 You must replace a similar texture with that texture, you cant somehow create a long putter and think it will work. For example in the 07 game replaced the Dunlop putter with a ping answer from 08.

#3 Creating logos - You can replace a logo in the game, or one of the tattoos, however you need to create a mask with an alpha channel in order for the logo to work correct in the game.

Note: If you are replacing tattoos you need to find two different textures in the game. The screen were u pick the tat and the actual tat in the game.

#4 Each texture you grab has an id#, if you replace that texture you need to have it posted in you log file (;tex mods does this for you). Lets say you mess up the texture, just delete and it reverts back to the original.

#5 Creating faces for players in the game. This is really hard and not sure how to even go about this, however when creating G-Mac, decided to supper impose his real beard. This took some time and a lot of messing around in photo shop.

Nice work on the puma stuff, the textures in 08 do seem a tad bright, in 07 since it is a custom mod, it doesnt work. Didnt want to be with out Rickie Fowler...Ended up having to build him myself.

Replacing the textures in the game does creates Bugs. It is not really smooth meaning you cant go and start testing or trying on the 20 different pants in this mod. The reason, they dont always show up until you get in to the game itself. (;or you only get 1/2 the texture or the wrong texture)

One of the Bugs that I have seen more than once;; the texture becomes part of the game. Which is really weird. The TexMods has never crashed the game, yet!!! Being very careful designing this mod, that means matching up all the ID#s with the textures, however with 170 textures it is easy to make a mistake. Sometimes you pull a texture, replace it, but doesnt replace that texture and it replaces something else, you have no idea how many shirts, pants, clubs that have been srewed up. Than you have to find that texture delete it and also delete it in the log file.

Lets say you want to replace Tiger Woods shirt with Justin Roses shirt.


Shirts are 4 textures! (;Front, Back, Arms & Buttons)

You pull Tiger Shirt you want to replace and JRs four shirt textures

Now your LOG file looks like this, cause you pressed enter too many times an grabbed random textures. Plus you have some dups in the list

The good news is, because you have the load the custom mods each time you play the game. You can release an updated mod, and re-date it, instead of ver II, Last Updated Nov 8, 2013 or whatever. (;trust me it easy to mess these up and sometimes on other computers the textures have a different ID#)

Lets say you want to make a white hat, purple, the game only uses 1 white texture for all the hats, guess what you just made every white hat in the game purple. (;try to avoid doing this)


FYI Not sure what happens, if you are using more than one mod, and the same textures are replaced.

(;My mod for TW 2007 is not complete it is over 1.4 Gigs so far, hell have over 100 custom PGA players in this mod)

If I have the time may do something little for the 08 engine. Right now my focus is on rebuilding the 07 game. Need help on this would like to get these textures hard coded in the game. Would also like to port over a few PGA players from the 03 Engine with their custom dialog. Above all want to recode the game to get the water to look like it did in 04,05 & 06. I know this is possible. Have already changed the skydome. Basically need a programmer to unpack and repack coded files. First we need to find what app or script codes the water reflections. Look how it is written and look how it was coded in the past and adjust the scripts as so.

Next if we can figure out how to code the game, we can than add or create messes with textures to create NEW putters, wedges, drivers and such. My Rocketballz is just a re-texture of an EA sports driver and 3 wood. (;note: also did the R9 and X-Hot)

There are a lot of things that can be done to improve the game we just need help in doing it. I think it is possible to even fix the shader levels in 08.
