Finally got TW06 in the mail tonight... Trojan Virus on Install Disc 1, but managed to circumvent it and install by flashing Disc to HDD, and installing from there, odd eh?

Anyway got CA and LC installed but it's late here and would take me a while to get Terrain Assist working so I'm off to sleep but will have a go tomorrow, thanks for all the help guys.

You need to go to Google Earth and get the coordinates at the top left and bottom right of your course perimeter. Leave about 500 yards border from any hole.

You then need to download the DEM and Imagery from the USGS site. As you know, the site has recently been changed and no one is sure where to go to get that info.

Then you need the 3dem program

Then you can use Terrain Assist to import the elevations to the course architect, and your imagery and draw the course layout out.

Elevation are very general and you still need to do alot of manual elevation work to make the course playable and accurate.

As far as Textures, I do quite a bit of them. A good quality image is preferred but you wont really see a difference with a HD image. The game uses an very old engine and its just not gonna happen. A texture has to be looked at stright down in the game to see it best and clearly. Angles distort and blur it. Over optimizing and smoothing also affects texture quality.
