I kind of thought they would be asking for beta testers or something like that. I would donate my time, no problem.
I want a new game as much as the next guy and maybe this will be it.. I will have a good honest look at it and hope for the best...
Maybe these guys will knock it out of the park! We will have to see how much they listen to the community, hopefully more then them other guys.. |

Not if they dont have MONEY to get off the ground! You just dont get it. This is NOT EA Sports or Microsoft that we are talking about here that have tons of money. These are a small group of guys that are undertaking this task. They do not have a large company backing them up with boatloads of money. That is why they are going through the Kickstarter route. They need money to create it and market it. Without money it will not become a reality. If you look at the Kickstarter, you will see that contributing as little as $25 gives you access to the alpha and beta builds of the game as it is being built. It gives you access to contributing ideas to the development of the game. What else do you want? Shoot, your credit card isnt even charge for your pledge if they dont make their $300,000 goal in 45 days. But they sure wont make it if people are content to sit back and wait for a final version of the game or a beta test version that I will be glad to test for them because it doesnt cost me a thing.
And if you think Im irritated over this, I am. People in this community have griped and complained about wanting a new game created and to have input in the creation of that game for years. That is exactly what is happening with this project, but because it would require some money for the people to create it everyone wants to sit on their wallets, unwilling to give a dime. Same way it has been with this website for years when we have donation drives. Just drives me nuts. Do you want what you say you want or dont you?
That is all I have to say on this issue. If you choose to sit back, I do not want to see a thing about wishing and wanting a new game. EA isnt going to create it. Microsoft isnt going to create it. No other major company out there is going to create it. This small company is wanting to do what the major companies dont. |
