Hello all
I played TW2004 on PS back when it came out and it took over my life. Loved that game and al the others after it. 04 will always be my favorite though.
I have been looking for sometime now and cannot locate the answer to this. Hope this is proper thread to ask this in.
I just bought 2008 for PC (pending delivery) and would like to know if online play is still possible or is this just a standard standalone game on the PC with no internet access. Is online play possible on any TW games PC or Playstation?
Once I get back into playing, need to dust myself off a bit, I will look into downloading courses.

Hello TW2004,
On the Homepage of Coursedownloads, left side bottom you will find the section: Community links
In Community links you will find several sites, some of them are playing on Hamachi.
And Golf 4 fun ( http://golf-4fun.org/ ), they have their own game launcher to run a tour.
A few sites are not in the comminty links section yet, we are waiting for an update from the site owner:

Oh my, this is great news! Many thanks. I will do my research on what you listed. My 3 brothers and I love competing in TW but we live in NC, NY and NJ. Hopefully one of these sites will be our new home.

I would invite you to try the Golf4Fun site ( http://golf-4fun.org/ ) that Gunpower61 mentioned. There are all four levels of play on the weekly tour and Knock Out tournaments that start about every two weeks. When you''re ready to play, contact me or one of the other administrators and we will help you get started.

Hey all.
SFC (Ret) Meurer here who has been playing TW07/08 for years and years.
Have gone through a few computers over time and now I have forgotten how to get this stuff to work.
Anybody on here anymore that can give me a hand?
I special bought a Windows 7 box just to be able to play but can't get the TW08 Caddie x64 to work for me. |

Hello, welcome back.
First you have to download the correct version of TWCaddie08 ( 32 or 64bit version )
Unzip or extract the zipfile, and when unzipped dubble click: setup.exe
And you will have to run TWCaddie08 as administrator:
On desktop right click TWCaddie08 icon, and choose: Properties.....compatibility...and check box: Run as administror....and hit Apply

Been looking for a better than Links 2003 game and still looking, 2k23 is not the one.
Fact is I still have not played this.. All I find is CD's online and that's not going to work with no CD player in the laptop..
I did dind an ICO BUT! it wont work.. it say's emulator detected.. Go a no CD hack.. dose not work..
IS THERE ANY WHY TO GET THIS GAME.. not paying any more than $10 |

| Glad you got it working. I rarely actually play TW08, I'm rubbish at it. That's one of the reasons I get people who can play to test my courses for me. I used to be quite decent but I left the game for a while and when I returned I had different PC and mouse. Since then I can't hit a straight shot to save my life. |

Howdy, USB/David here. A completely worn out 74 year old golf-a-holic. TW08 is my substitute for rainy weather golf. I''m lucky to download so many great courses for this computer game.

Get a peace of wood 1/4" thick 5-6" long sand it down real good and smooth... Like me I kept going left with my shots when I made the strait edge I immediately start shooting strait and now play intermediate at all times... It dose make the wind a bit more sensitive through |
