I guess I''ve got my "Dumb as a Brick" hat on. I went to that url to download the patch and can''t find it. After I post this I''ll probably see it.
Yup. Found it. |

Hiya Skoville, when you go to that link, it starts with this text:
Started by Wogg, and continued by Mird-OC and Arcus, the WSGF features the Universal Widescreen Patcher (UniWS for short). Games that use the UniWS go way beyond the .ini and Registry hacks that we are all used to. The UniWS patches .dll and .exe files found in several popular "AAA" titles.
The Patcher consists of two parts: The uniws.exe (which is the GUI interface and patcher), and the patches.ini file (which contains the game data to make the patch). You can download both here: uniws.zip.
The last words on the text above are: uniws.zip When you click on text: uniws.zip then the patcher should download Note: it is on this link: http://www.wsgf.org/article/universal-widescreen-uniws-patcher

Thanks, Gunny. Do I put the "patches" file in the bin folder? and when I open the "uniws" app, do I put the desired resolution in the boxes or 800x600 ? I didn''t see that specified.
I see. It''s just a text file for instructions. |

Hiya Skoville, yes it looks the first link with instruction is broken. But i found another link:
https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/tiger-woods-2007-1920x1200.1999098/
Basic this is what it says:
I used the Universal Widescreen Patcher v1.03 , and
1: Chose the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 (Custom Menu Resolution) profile.
2: Pointed the program to my Tiger woods 2008 bin folder. (thats where the DXWRAP.DLL file is)
3: Typed in 1920x1200 ( or other resolution ) in the UWP programs "new resolution" box.
4: Click the patch button.
5: Start Tiger woods 2008 and select 800x600 from within the game and it now plays at 1920 x1200. |

When you have the widescreen patcher open: First on top choose the correct game: Tiger woods PGA Tour 2004 ( custom menu resolution ) After that point in widescreen patcher to: TW08 bin folder....... Then it should work
( Also important note:On win7, win8, win10 it is possibble you will have to run the widescreen patch as administrator.) |

Just got back.
Yes, haVE DONE ALL THAT. wHEN i GET TO THE BIN FOLDER IT Won''''t let me change screen W/H or use "Undo Patch" or "Patch". I keep hitting the caps lock.I can''''t get it off the disc. Of course I didn''''t back it up.
That''s really strange. It would work on TW7, But I''m locked out of changing TW8. |

Re-installed the game and was able to use the patch. Didn't work. Looks like I have to play in 4x3 or dual boot with win 7. Looks like crap in 4x3. |

The link noted above is no longer there.
Found it through the Wayback Machine, where it does still work.

Just for info: To use the widescreen patcher with the 5 points by Gunpower here above in Windows 10, you need or to install TW2008 ouside of the program folder, e.g. in C:\Games..., or go in Safe Mode to apply the patch if your install is in the program folder. Greetings, |

Never had to use this before but gave it a try on the new computer. I've selected the TW04 custom menu, changed the resolution to 1920x1200 and go into game. When I go to change the resolution in game, it's locked at 1024x768 with no arrows to change to 800x600. Also the 32 bit color has been changed to 16 bit and also can't be changed.
I tried unpatching, going into the game and setting the resolution to 800x600 before and then patching after. When I go back into the game then, the resolution in the settings menu is now blank with no arrows to change and when I go into a course the game locks up.
Did I miss something? (fyi windows 11) |

Thank you very much. That seems to work. The menus look bad, but the in-game looks good, which is what matters. |
