TW12 for PC will be essentially the same as TW Online only that TW12 will have Augusta and an offline career feature. It will run on the same Unity engine that TW Online uses. TW12 will not be like TW08, sorry. |

Just played a free round at Torrey Pines over at EA Sports (TWO). The graphics of the course seem very good but the game play is, in my opinion, no where near the standard that I am used to with TW08. It is a great pity that they could not combine the best elements of both. They want to charge £22.50 for the pre-ordered download of TW2012 (that is with the 25 per cent reduction), full price was nearly £30. This does not include all the courses now available, so does this mean that the extra courses will have to be paid for and if so how much per course??? At the moment I am not convinced that TW2012 is worth the outlay. |

""Enjoy 3 Months of Membership to Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® Online – Access an extensive catalogue of online features via Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® Online. Enjoy multi-player modes such as Stroke Play, Match Play, Skins, Group Play and Group Tournaments, live chat, access to more than 25 world famous courses and more." I took this quote from: http://www.ea.com/tiger-woods/pc It pretty much says.. if you want to play tiger woods for PC online.. it's going to be TWO. IMHO, it seems that perhaps someone from the Tiger Woods team has been paying attention to Course Downloads and figured if they offered a new CA it would draw the designers and players away from TW08. Let's face it.. it has to be a 'thorn in their side' to see that this site, along with the many designers, is still thriving strong in 2011. I don't think we will ever see a PC Tiger Woods game in the '08' format, they want $$$ and they will be pushing TWO! I'd rather give my $$ to CDL and keep them up and going." | AMEN! And right on the money. |

and of course there will be some sort of bizarre DRM making any editing of courses impossible. Like what EA did to the NHL franchise... |

Amen - to me, just a last ditch attempt to make a bogus effort at smoothing things over and to take money from the pockets of the people that love the 08 game that they screwed over 16 months ago. I'm happy where I am playing the '08 game at The Elite Club and the 1300 or so courses available for the '08 game available on this site. EA doesn't deserve another dime from anyone. Even cancelled my long-time standing Club Pogo membership right after they shut us down. Too bad EA owns Pogo - I'll miss some friends there too. |

I couldn't help but order since I loved playing every version of TW golf since 03 when I started playing it online. I had tried the xbox version of the very same game and had hated it, if it had not been for a trial version of the PC game in a magazine , I would never have know what a great game they had for the PC, unfortunately the PC version for 2012 is like the console crap of 2003! I can't help but let everyone know that has ever played and loved the PC version, this just isn't what we wanted. I'll try to suffer through some of the game just to see if anything was salvaged, but if I had much of a hope I'd be playing instead of typing.
Miss so many of my friends that I never met but looked forward to playing on all of the TW's from 2003 to 2008. Later guys and gals, Dad |

Do not bother purchasing TW2012. I bought it on 09/07/2011. It was just like TWO. In fact all my experience, money and equipment transferred over from TWO. I started to play the "Road to the Masters" which is how you work your way up to the PGA Tour. Since I already had the best equipment and all the money I wanted I set the difficulty level to expert and the number of rounds to play set to 4. It only let me play a single round per tourney instead of the 4 I had set up and I won every tournament I played. I only had to win 4 rounds and I was on the PGA Tour. There was no working your way up like TW08 where you had to budget your money between equipment and entrance fees. You had it all right away. So I started playing the tour courses and was winning every one until Augusta. At Augusta the winner was -19 after one round. -19 under after one round at Augusta...really? What a joke. I contacted EA support and got a refund. Like someone else posted I would rather give that money to CourseDownloads. |

In addition to aarondads the game graphics are fantastic. But it`s like a demo without any options of nothing. No money to buy stuff, I cant play with my family cause there`s no two players option, no other game plays options like skins games, fourball, foursome, etc, not even practice.
The carreer is terrible, cant customize anything. Disaster and dissapointed. |

The Online Through the brower version of TigerWoods is much a noob game http://tigerwoodsonline.ea.com/ The 2k12 version with Agusta is just a addon I think? not sure in any case EA needs to bring back the pc version some how some way! |

Just a few personal thoughts about this supposed Game. Most Players who know me will know that I left TW08 to Beta Test TWO and I decided to stay with it as unfortunately EA decided to close the Servers for 08 thereby making it harder to find somewhere to play what I personally consider is one of the best Golf simulations available.
When the announcement was made about the release of TW12 in July there were the usual promises made that Members are still waiting for. For instance the Game was supposed to be released in either Download or Disc versions available but at the last minute EA decided that UK Members would only get the Download. When questioned about why this happened no one from EA would comment. There were supposed to be lots of New Courses - in face there were only 6 released. Both TWO and TW12 are being used by EA as a cash cow as no one can play the Game as it should be played without having to purchase points and these run out pretty quickly. Any finally most of the errors that have been reported daily by Members have yet to be fixed and there are quite a lot.
I must stress that there are my own personal views and I think that both TWO and TW12 still have a very very long way to go before they are anywhere near the standard of TW08. |

Having been playing with TW2012 for over a month, I have to agree with all of the criticisms levelled at it. It's not worth the money. I've just downloaded an update - the game wouldn't run until I did - then it crashed on me after 7 holes. The only good thing I can find is the graphics but I guess they're just eye candy. Also, if anyone has figured a way of getting rid of the (very annoying)"doof-doof" sound that precedes EVERY shot, I might just go back and play it a bit more. |

Hi all,
Take a look at this link, I will post here watch it in full screen and at 1080: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDDfPxF3EFE
Its a trailer for BF3 Developed with the new Frosbite 2 game engine by DICE, EA games is using this game engine now to develop other games as well such as Need for Speed The Run.
We can only imagine what a Properly made PC golf game would look like currently , if they ever bothered to make one again. I have also played TW online, but have come to the conclusion that supporting that game is not in my best interest as a PC Golfer.
Have a nice day.

Once again.. EA says FUG YOU to PC players. This is why I haven't supported TW franchise since 07 nor looks like anytime again unfortunately. |

If there's gonna be a Course Architect in the new pc version I might consider a return to course design. I'm not gonna hold my breath though... |

Hey hey Jimi/Martijn, glad to see your stil around! I am very doubtful too, after being heavily involved in testing TWO and having my hopes raised up and then let down big time.
But lots of us still get our kicks designing here and we really could use a Structures Man?
Nice to hear from you though, take care my friend.
