Quite interesting. On reading the further-referenced Forum note, it provides the location in the computer Registry to look for the errant Libraries. and for the instance cited, is pointing to the 08 files.

When I earlier searched the computer Registry for the filenames, no entries were returned. However, now knowing where to look in the registry is yet another path.

I may have this resolved in time to just go to Green Hills and play the real course ;-)

It's not unlike programs for the late 80's. I was involved with one named askSam, an incredible full text search tool in C+. I would compile the data files, and it would fail. Later in the day, I'd try again, and, finally one 'em stuck, and got it right.

You wrote me once about being patient. This is almost Buddhist, or, maybe I'm chilled from a tepid bottle of Narragansett Larger, whose logo is "Brewed on Merit". It's a strange brew, with a taste that is enhanced by salty lips. Of course, if you live in Rhode Island, it's home, you have that condition. I guess we're all a little salty up there.

Jim, Ray, Gun, so much thanks. You guys are persistent like rarely found.

Frank

As I mentioned to you Frank, Course Architect has its own peculiarities. Enjoy that lager, and after a few it will all seem clearer . . . LOL.

If all else fails you can use the cloaking tool to strip all libraries from the course. You will still have all your shapes and elevations.

Thanks Danut. In fact I did Strip the file. The results are good. The Libs are gone, and only trees, tee markers and clubhouse gone. All the ground shapes like fairways, greens... remain, and as you mentioned all the user introduced topography like greens slopes and raised tees remained. Good idea, which reads a little different from the description in the Cloak notes. I almost thought the fairways and greens objects would vanish; they did not.
