I have three or so courses I spent too many hours finalizing. My computer crashed, and was reimaged. I reinstalled TW06 and course architect. When I go back to working on these three courses, they call crash CA when I attempt to compile. I've optimized everything I can think of; I do get the message that libraries are missing. I have no idea which ones. Any ideas? I really don't want to start these courses over again!! Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

You can get the Cloaking tool here somewhere. Then use it to open a new project. It will help you identify the missing libraries. If it does not tell you the name of the library it will give you a "guid" number. Then you can look that number up here n the site. Or you could use the tool to strip the course of all libraries. This will remove all objects and custom libraries, but it won't alter the layout or elevations.

On link below you can find Cloaking tool 06 , there is help section inside cloaking tool.
http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/category.asp?id=7&gameid=8
As Steve mentioned above, Cloaking tool will tell you what libraries are missing ( Guid numbers ). When you have the missing libraries ( guid numbers ), you can do a search in section libraries by Guid numbers. ( Or you can post the guid numbers of the missing libraries here.) |

Windows XP. I used the cloaking tool to discover the uninstalled library. Found it here (Augusta 2004), and attempted to install it, but I got the error message that the contents are different than the one on my system, and I need to uninstall the one on my system. Problem is, I can't find where on my system the "existing" Augusta 2004 is to be able to uninstall it. Any ideas?

look in both course utilities, one for 06 and 08 and whatever course installer you use. That's the only places it could be..:) |

I've done all of the above, I think. Still says I'm missing a library that is installed on my system as " (apostrophe). I need to uninstall this " library, then reinstall the one it won't let me install. How do I find and uninstall this " library?!! |

Not sure this will help, but sometimes there is a problem with a sticky library. You can find some help on link below:

Exactly right Pat, the asterisk shows it is a STICKY lib and you can remove it with the CLTOOL.. |

Related to previous posts...course I'm working on has a missing library. Nevertheless, I am able to compile it and install it in both TW06 and TW08- only thing missing are trees. Once installed, I can play either version. However, when I go into the course and right click and choose "properties", CA crashes. Any ideas? Should I cloak libaries for this course that are not shown as a + ? Thanks ! |

OK, using CL Tool 06, I've found the missing libraries and reinstalled them. One of the ones I tried to reinstall caused this message: already installed as ". What do I do? Also, there were 10 others CL tool said were missing. Here are their GUIDs; I've found them all and downloaded, but not installed yet. Since almost all have an * after them, they are sticky libraries, but after "fixing sticky libraries" they still show up, and course crashes on compile. Any ideas? !!!!! Placeholder Library. Are you updating your project in the CLTool? After you fix sticky it saves the file under a different name so you have to update the project with the new file. You can also delete and create a new project. |
