Maybe you used stock or old pano on your course?
Only TW07 and TW08 custom panos will work in TW08 game.
Some more help on link below:

And some great tutorials on link below:

I'm not the best schooled with this designing stuff, but whenever I have started fresh on CA plot. I get black boxes & weird things happening on CA plot, but it went away after I put more stuff on plot. It's almost as if the CA plot copies the hole I did across the plot. Plus a texture has a limit to how many points it can have. 65,000 is the max,and you will get a lime or blue look in spot once you pass this amount in any given texture used, You gotta have many cuts of rough in libraries to help spread the number across textures.

I recommend the tutorials big time. Without them I would have been a lost puppy in the street, and without looking at them, I would never have gotten this stuff down. So if you haven't checked them out, I would give them a look, they are soooooooo helpful. I still am a lost puppy.....LOL It just takes time to get to the point where these killer designers are here, so no matter how frustrating it gets, it gets better has you do it more.....:)

I screenshot would help very much like stated above too.

Good luck, and happy designing buddy

I think I was using 06 panos so installed 08 ones and think problem is solved. My next question though is I am creating a coastal course and want to know how to create the coast/beach line on the land plot?

Your choice I think is to make the ocean your base texture and draw in the beach, or make the beach your base and draw in the ocean (probably simpler) then you can just make the edge of your beach texture lower than the ocean and it shouldn't show.

And If I may suggest, I believe I have heard there are problems associated with having your base texture as a water texture. IE: Lag and or forward and back slider working in reverse.

I could be wrong but it wouldn't hurt to make sure first.

Peace

Oops, I didn't realize the initial problem had been solved. Anyway, I've created a few courses with oceans and I've always used Neil's second suggestion of having a solid base texture and drawing the ocean in. Just make sure you make the ocean long enough where you won't be able to see the "other side." I'll post some screenshots of what I'm talking about when I get home.

Hi all, that problem was for past versions of the architect. Now you can have water or anything else as your base texture without issues. In the past the issue that was caused was the slider for True Swing would be reversed, just as Axe says.

Ok so have solved the water issue by increasing the width of my land plot. Tested it and looked ok (with 13 holes completed). Worked on hole 14, completed it,saved and compiled so I could test and now game crashes after 20-30 seconds of course being loaded. Any suggestions?

I have stopped the game crashing, and have completed 15 holes so far. When I play the course in TW08 I am only able to play to hole 13 then it goes back to the first hole playing as 14th and second hole as 15th. I dont think I have done anything different for holes 14 and 15. The holes are defined etc Its as if I havent made the 2 holes.

I have also deleted the hole 1 definitions and put it on my 15th hole, but when I play the game my hole 1 is hole 1 in the game.

Any suggestions???

Did you happen to do anything wtih the position.ini file? If it's marked read-only then it will revert to the last time it was laid out before being marked read-only.

Are you sure you added flag positions on hole 14 and 15 ?

I am not aware of changing anything with the position file and I have put flags on holes 14 & 15.
