And Axe ..... I've played your courses...
And I have some advice for you..... less time in the forums and more on course design skills would serve you better. I can't think of a single course you made that I still have installed.. And I have over 250 customs.. |

Phantom, let me see... your contribution to an online community so far... I do not seem to find anything. I find it very odd for someone to express negative comments, especially when they have not ever contributed anything positive. Sounds like pretty low self esteem in my opinion. Go ahead you can falme me all you want :P I frankly do not ..... I will leave you to fill in the blank here. |

Lets hope that when TW on line is out & 08 is finished with its 3 year obligation. None of us will still be here with our 06 Course Architect.. contributing to courses that never make it on line.. As we pay the $10 or so for a mediocre ea devd course. And are left to swap buddy stories about the good ole days..
I have a console game, and Im afraid I already know the direction ea is going.. And I hope its not pay for service with few options... |

It is one thing to have a differing opinion or to speculate (;no matter how wrong your speculation is), but your approach to other long standing members of this community stinks. It seems to me you are trying to pick a fight with someone(;s) around here. Let me put this clear...the name calling and baiting of people in this thread and on this forum will stop now. |

Yes Jeff - You are right. I should have held my tongue. Calling Tim a brown noser, Well not the brightest thing I've done. But I am concerned about the way this game is going. So I will apologize to the 3 members I upset that obviously feel as passionate about this game as I do. Sorry boys....

I just think everyone here wants the same things, and this passion is seen in this thread. A good TW product that doesn't get rid of custom courses by all these designers is what is important for many TW fans & me. I just started with all this stuff, but I bet I'd even be more bummed out if I've been doing this for as long has some of you other designers have or players who have played customs that long too. I'd be out right mad, if EA gets rid of these abilities, to tell ya the truth. I'm a little upset with how it all might turn out, but I just singed up for the beta, and if chosen. I will scream bloody murder for custom course making ability's for this new TW game, and I've been thinking of what might be ahead. If there isn't one, I sure hope this communtity continues to live on with the TW 08 game because I enjoy it very much. If we hard core TW fans are going to get a World Tour kinda like golf game thrown our way for the masses instead of giving the people who actually played this game all this time. I cool game with even more ability in making courses. READ THIS EA, READ THIS LAST LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just because the TW PC community has maybe not brought in the big bucks like consoles do, this doesn't mean EA can't make a product that caters to us real TW fans too. Only time will tell, and I can only try to get on the Beta to voice our concerns, but this doesn't mean I can't be worried about how things might turn out even if I'm not inform with all the facts. Really stinks to be in the dark with things, but I'm new to this world, and this is status quo from what the little I've read about things.

Well- I had to do a search and verify this news.. ok then, a browser based golf game with as monthly subscription. Ill pass. consider they will be selling advertising through the browser- they shouldn't charge much or really anything at all. if they ask for 3.99 a month= they are asking too much. period!
I picked up tw10 for the wii with the new sensor for my son and I have to say -its really fun. worth every penny. The Guys at Tiburon are geniuses.
So for PC- Ill stick with tw 08 with my trackball and true swing. |

Not sure where you get that figure from as I havent seen anywhere how much 2010 will be, but assume the figure you came up with...
3.99 x 12 (months) = 46.88
Isnt that about what you'd pay for the game anyway? |

Just please tell us if TW Online(it's what it's being called now, I guess) isn't anything like this World Tour Golf game I tried out to see what a browser golf game was like. Were actual real life pictures where used to make the course because I wouldn't be happy all at with this, but that would be even a bigger blow for you that have been playing this game for so long. Not sure if y'all Beta testers can confirm this or not, but from the little I've read about the feedback from 1st Beta testers, I wouldn't think some wouldn't be happy with the graphics if this was the case. People like different things, and this is why I ask. Plus the few pictures I've seen for the actually game-play it kinda looks like real life pictures somewhat, but if it's like a 3D golf world like the TW 08 game. Those are some sweet looking graphic pictures of Sawgrass from what I can tell........

You'll pass on a game that may very well surpass TW08 (I am betting it does based on what I have heard from EA....)? Your choice. Still can't understand how people can judge a product based on so little information.
The geniuses at Tiburon are also the geniuses who are developing TW Online..... |

If you truly want to get EA's attention, you need to post your thoughts on the EA Tiger forums....they will likely not see it here at this time... |

I had a look at the link Gunpowder made for some guy chosen to try the beta, he had never even played TW on the PC before.......
http://backnineblog.net/2009/06/04/tiger-woods-pga-tour-online-initial-beta-impressions/
IMO the graphics look like a video game, dunno if they are the end product graphics or not, but they don't look anything special, certainly not as good as TW08. |

Having recently downloaded, played, and uninstalled WGT, I can assure you TWO is not going in that direction.... |
