Sign me up then, and it's the least I can do for all that everyone here has done for TW & me too. The answering of my many many questions, tutorials made, running the TW sites, and these tours made available to us players is much to be thankful for. Oh yeah, How could I ever forget all these courses made, libraries, pano's, and programs made by everyone too, and I'll do what I can if my ability's allow me too, to give back to the TW community. I probably have more free time available right now than someone with kids or things like this that take up much of someones time, but you never know what life might throw your way....... :(
Not sure what all is involved with testing, but I can try, and I'm figuring it's much like what I'm doing now while making my 1st course. Hitting a million shots everywhere on the course to see if maybe a green is not fair or if a tree needs to be moved, and things like that.

Sounds good, I will look you up when I'm ready. Also, you will look for tears and raised edges between textures, it all depends on what the designer may want a particular person to look for. Sometimes I need someone to just check out the greens and someone to just look at the fairways etc: Makes things easier on a tester also.

Its looking good Larry, you've got on a lot quicker than me with Beverly. No first cut textures?

I think it will look better, IMO going straight from fairway to rough looks too contrived, the more gradual change looks more natural. Its certainly easier to do it that way without a cut texture, but for authenticity, which I think we are striving for with real and fantasy courses, it doesnt work.
It does make things easier as regards creases, but so would making courses with no fairways :).
Cheers
Neil

UPDATE: Ok, I have finished all my work on the 18th, I am happy to report. All that is left are Tee Markers (don't forget 1 Larry) benches, and a few short paths.
Then off to testing! Should be ready soon.
Peace |

OK Never done this before, and not sure how to pass courses without them being here, but just explain it to me, and I can get a grip with things most of the time. I took a step back with designing this week by playing more than I have lately, so I can see courses work to help with me going forward with my design, and testing this course will be a good lesson. Plus, I like to help out for the cause too......... :)
Those real dark green textures look awesome by the way

Ok, first. 3cheers to DanutGolf, as he made them, and I must agree, they look marvelous.
As soon as I am ready for testing, I will look you up and I just like to email my courses, but if you don't like giving out your email to any bum on the road, lol, I can host it at Fileden and in that case I would just pm you the link. It's very easy and as soon as you do it, you will agree.
Outtttttttt. |
