Looking good, axe. With a city skyoline pano like that you have to be carefull to size it right. You have to remmember that the edge of the course, or what you see of it, is only 1,000 yards or so away. If I were to do that pano, I'd merge that cityscape into a larger picture resembling the general area. I one flew to Chicago and I noticed that it's pretty much as flat as my own country there. Which had me puzzled about all these skyscrapers huddled together on a few square miles right in the middle of a vast empty land. One would not think space should be a precious commodity. But that's another story. |

Jimi, I don't have a pano with a skyline, this pano is just a tree lined pano. And that is what I will probly stick with, maybe not this one, but another tree lined pano.
The pano you see in earlier commments is not the one I am going to use. Seeing how Chicago is at least 15 mi. away, and all around this course are nothing but trees.
Although it was very nice of nuttywoody to offer it up, but I think Neil is going to use it.
Thank you for the kind words, and yes, I forgot, you do pano's too, hmmmmmmmm.. lol
Peace |

I've been searching in vain for a some tree line pictures to use with the chicago skyline. I'm looking for something like the pano Axe is using, any ideas where I can download something like that. I can't find anything even close.

Neil, it's the Masters Pano, feel free to use it, like I said, it's just a good one for me to use while I am designing, I may not even use it, but by all means if you like it, use it bro. It is an excellent pano!
I probly won't be done with this one for months anyway.

I dont want to use it Larry, I'm looking for pictures like that to incorporate that Chicago pic into for a pano. Planning on doing an all tree pano with Chicago peeking over the top, hopefully in the right direction.

Thanks Bobby, but I'm not looking for a pano, I'm looking for somewhere I can download pictures to make one.
I got a nice view of Chicago from Nutty or Mr Woody if he prefers :), and I want to make an all round tree pano with the tall buildings peeking over the top.

Got my image done, right size, trees with Chicago peeking over the top. Surprisingly it looks pretty decent so far. My sky area is transparent, now Im stuck at this mask bit. Where is this mask wand thingy? I can see magic wand, I can see masks, but I can't see mask wand.
Cheers

In Photoshop there is an option called "channels". You select that and then create a new alpha channel. You then select your empty sky area with the magic wand, inverse (shft ctrl i) and then you select your new channel and delete. You have to do that for each of the twelve panels of your pano. |
