Finally.... surgery went well..(I guess)...

Only took about an hour and a half, but they gave me a shot in some nerve in the upper thigh, said it makes the pain level about 1/2 of normal after surgery... They were right! Even after the anesthesia wore off, still cant feel ANYTHING in my thigh or the front of my knee...and the shot was 14 hrs ago.. lol

They can really the job now i guess, i expected a couple of weeks of 'no weight bearing / elevated / stay in bed'... but Dr said I can walk on it as soon as I feel comfortable... That sure surprised me..

Wow, I got the coolest ice pack thing I have seen...electric pump in a cooler basically, circulates ice water...

Anyone used one of these?? http://www.bledsoebrace.com/pdf/datasheet/CP010194.pdf

:)

Had my knee operated on, February 5, of this year. I had no ACL damage, because mine was gone, LOL. Seems that when I hurt it when I was around 26, that it did tear loose. Oh I am 54 now. But stupid me decided to tough it out. Well Doc said if you don't use it, your body decides you don't need it, so it just desolves away. Amazing knee cooler though, had one of them myself. Good Luck with the recovery, I was walking on mine the day after. You should be up and walking in no time at all.
